A wet land great for bird watching during monsoon. Best time to visit is match to June when most of the birds come here.

Thalangama Lake is close to ITN and home to wetland birds, butterfly species, many types of fishes, dragonflies, damselflies, amphibians. One of the best bird watching site in colombo.

Tough to find. No one knew where it was. It's a large pond filled with Lilly pads. Many egrets, small herons with some buffalo wallowing in the mud. Probably not worth the visit unless you arrive early morning with a telephoto lens.
