I was unable as to the existence of this museum next to the Pakistan Monument. I am so pleased I visited it while I was there.
The entrance fee is 600 rupees for a foreigner which is a bargain.
There was a large queue outside the ticket booth but as they were all one group I was able to pay my entrance fee and walk straight in.
The museum tells the fascinating story of Pakistan through some interesting exhibits. There is a lot of information on offer and it was pleasant to wander around and learn lots of new things.
The museum wasn’t busy and isn’t huge so doesn’t take too long to look round.
In my opinion it is definitely worth a visit

I would highly recommend for tourists to visit this place at sundown in month of November. It is best to visit this place during weekdays to avoid the crowd. Avoid riding those camels 🐪 it’s a scam. After visiting the place go to TKR it’s a restaurant that serves good food. I had to go to the same restaurant twice for their food. 😊

A must-visit place in Islamabad. There you not only enjoy the wonderful view and the Monument but also have to chance to know more about the history of Islamabad via the Museum. I went there Saturday early. Later, a lot of students showed up for their tour. So if you could visit there in the early morning, around 9:30-10:30am, you could avoid the crowd.

As a traveler passionate about history and culture, visiting the Pakistan Monument was an absolute highlight of my trip. The monument's striking architecture and symbolic design left me in awe. Not only did it offer breathtaking views of Islamabad, but it also provided profound insights into Pakistan's rich heritage and national identity. Exploring the museum inside further deepened my appreciation for the country's diverse culture and history. Whether you're a history buff or simply seeking a memorable experience, the Pakistan Monument is a must-visit destination.

This is amazing place overview of Faisal Mosque beautiful and informative.
you have to buy ticket to go out which is very small amount.
there is History museum in Monument and souvenir shop as well if you wanna buy small magnet or anything for memories at very reasonable price.
Over all very good place to go. maybe not on weekend as there could be school trips

It's a good place to visit if one wants to see Islamabad at night, from above, provided that if monal is not in the list. The place is a source of attraction for the lovers of architecture. While for the rest, night lights are definitely the reason for visit. Museum also has added to it's value, as around 1/3rd of the visitors see this museum.

If u are visiting Islamabad, it should be on ur list. It has all you need to know about Pakistan. There are separate sections for history, founders of Pakistan and modern Pakistan. Also it has collection of vintage vehicle which remained under use of Pakistan founder.
It is adjacent to Pakistan Monument and accessible through Shakarparian. Parking I free at ur own risk and has entry fee of Rs 20 for adults and children above 7 years. For foreigners it has different rates 1£ approx.
Important. Due to current COVID-19 situation face mask is mandatory.

Nice view, nice Monument, very nice museum.
We are white from Europe, and although I wore some long dress as they, we were still looked at. It is not disturbing, but strange. It was a nice feeling. Some people wanted to take pictures with us. It made us smile.
We had a local guide, and we managed to move better. Bad suvenir shop.
I liked in parking my stamps for my hand.

Beautiful to see in particular the decoration on it. it is located on a hill with nice view over islamabad. it is for sure something you should see when you are here in the city. it is not an place where you will stay hours but a nice walk is nice. the museum is nice but not what i expected , it is all about the history with lost of stuff to read . so all together nice place and for 1,50 entrance you can’t say that is to much .
