I admire this gallery so much because I love modern and traditional art of Mongolia and I was privileged to take part in recent ceramic exhibition there as an artist as well! Happy memory!

The entrance to the museum is on a side road. The museum itself is light and attractive and exhibits are on two floors. The staff was welcoming, attentive and helpful. The art itself was abysmal. There is definitely a tradition of craft in Mongolia but...More

This gallery is situated down a side road and looks like it could do with some attention. For such a small gallery it has a surprisingly good and varied collection of local artists. It worth a visit and for US $1 it's ridiculously underpriced.

I'm not really a modern art fan but I did enjoy the sculptures on display. Given a choice I'd rather have visited the Zanabazar Museum of Fine Art

This excellent museum is tucked away on a side street in the city center. Unremarkable from the outside, and with an unassuming entrance, the two floors of art include many outstanding examples of Mongolia art. A number of intricate, beautiful wood carvings. Horses, understandably, are...More

This was a nice salary to visit. The entrance fee was $2 US. It gives you a little more of the history of Mongolia but some very nice art work to view as well.

I don’t mind art galleries if they are tastefully done. I also like to get a sense of the culture while I’m traveling but this tired run down gallery is not worth a long visit. I was told not to take pictures so that turned...More

Don't think modern art as in "Abstract" (Though there is some of that). Think art being done recently in Mongolia. This museum has everything from contemporary wood carving to Stalinist era soviet-realism. The mix makes for an entertaining visit even if you are not "into"...More

Small and cheap gallery just off the main square. Some interesting works but the majority are pastiches. Gallery interior looks rather tired. Worth a visit if you have some spare time to fill.
