The site is not approachable and there are no explanatory signs about the status of this museum. It is quite clear that the museum is closed but no clue as to why, or even if it will ever reopen.

Museum was boarded up. What a pity! I was really looking forward to see the flora and fauna of Mongolia as this country has a very different geography compared to South East Asia. Perhaps the tourism board can re open it!

To understand Mongolia, you must visit this place. Not only is the historical value amazing, but culturally this museum is superb. There are floor after floor of well organized and amazing exhibits! Loved it.

A good way to get a feel for what you'll see throughout the country. Doesn't take all that much time and quite enjoyable.

This Museum has been closed for several years. This is a great shame since it possesses some of the greatest displays of Mongolia Natural History( I have this on good authority). But anyone going there now will find a sign saying the premises is closed...More

This is a great place to go to understand the country's history. Great for a cold or rainy day too. 8000T to get in and we weren't charged the 10000T for photography, so we didn't take any pictures.
