Spent 4 nites in a tent- shivering at nite, nature as toilet, no shower, cooking in tent- and loved every minute of it- absolutely beautiful scenery- really get a feel for the nomadic life- horseback rode to glaciar, about 1.5 hr each way- unbelievably beautiful. Dont miss this- be sure to have flashlight, headlamp, toilet paper , wet wipes (to... More

Amazing contact with nature. I recommend to hire a private jeep with driver and stay no less than 2-3 days.

Our Gobi Desert tour was arranged by Golden Gobi Guesthouse. We hoped the guide for Gobi Desert tour will be better (had a nasty experience with a tour guide before this tour) and turned out to be surprisingly good. We met Khuu, the guide and Duubaatar, the driver at the airport. We headed off to breakfast. Finally we had some... More

Gobi is at its best--a stunning beauty! The scenery is various from canyon, saxaul forest, sand dunes (very long one over 100 miles), ice valley, sheer rock mountains, oasis... Highly recommended to be part of Mongolia tour. We spent three days from Bayanzag (Flaming Cliffs) to Khongor Sand Dunes & Oasis to Yoliin Am Gorge in three different ger camps... More

The 'Gob' is a large area and covers many different locations. But overall it is a beautiful location with many friendly people and many amazing landscapes. From the singing sand dunes, the gorge of Yolyn am to the red cliffs of Bayanzag, all different but all spectacular in their own right. We did a tour that covered each of these... More

So different from other areas of Mongolia and of course just the mere word "Gobi" conjures up a plethora of images. Wide open spaces, big blue skies, changing scenery, memorable sunrises and sunsets, rock paintings, ice of Yolyn Am, flora and fauna, nomadic families........even passing over the supposed secondary Silk Road track.................just fabulous!!

One is near the heart of the Gobi Desert here with spactacular views of flora and fauna. From a ger camp, take a two-hump camel ride or trek to Flaming Red Cliffs, the place where the first fossilized dinosaur eggs were discovered. Take a galloping horse ride through the Ice Valley; yes there is ice in the desert. For international... More
