The layout is amazing and a lot of money has gone into this palace. It has been very well planned. Worth just a quick look.

Beautiful gargantuan edifice at the base of Lane Xiang, Vientiane's grand boulevard. Palace isn't open to the public, just a photo op from outside the gates.

Take a nice picture from outside but that's it, As this is the Presidents residence you can't go in, shame.

Good example of French colonial Architecture. Not possible to visit was a disappointment. Well restored and great position facing the Victory arch

Across the road from Wat Sis Aket, we were able to look through the gates at this impressive French colonial style building. Great views up the broad boulevarde to Arch

Typical nice presidential palace. You can only take photos from the outside!!! Officially!!! 100000 kip may help you to see entrance hall. But do not give anything to groundskeeper. He will take your money and you can still not get in. There is a gate...More

Great to view, I do not think you can get in it is all gated but such a beautiful proprty. From the Boulevard one way is the Arch the other way is the Palace, again we walked.

From both sides I've passed the palace many times: Impressive building that I believe cannot be visited.

Unfortunately not open to the public. The palace was extensively extended a few years ago for an international conference.
