Entrance is 10,000 Kip for foreigners. Wrap around skirts available for women to cover legs. Signage is in Laotian language. Recommended reading up before visiting or go with a tour guide who can explain in your language of choice.

This beautiful wat is now a museum and it houses splendid Buddhist art. The grounds are beautiful and the whole place exudes peace and tranquility. During the time of our visit a small group of boy monks and a senior monk who had been walking...More

The building has been beautifully restored and maintained - bright, colorful and its statue, just plain magnificent! A must see! There is a lot of history inside the building. It is very close to the city Centre so transport to and from it is definitely...More

The building is great and colourful and the museum is huge. It supposedly to house the Phra Keaw (Emerald Buddha) but it has been brought to Bangkok. The museum is nice and very well maintained. I do visit the inner museum and see many artifacts...More

I feel it was worth the time and the grounds were nice. Now used as a museum of collected Buddha statues but was built for the Emerald Buddha that is now in Thailand. And yes they do have clean bathroom. I would recommend.

Great mix of history, religion, and especially tranquil with the lush garden setting. Very easy to visit, and included with many of the guided trips for these reasons.

If you just want to enjoy the buildings you dont have to pay. It’s a small fee, though, to see the museum inside. Nothing special, though, but it’s a nice building.

Very imposing and beautiful building in lovely grounds. Certainly worth a look. Enjoyed watching a wedding party take pre wedding photos here.

Quite a nice temple not to be missed if you are in town. I love the dragon staircase which is in original stone colour with vivid stone carving.

My impression of the place was a dimly-lit temple housing a lot of artifacts in neglected state. So, to my great surprise, after renovation by the French team of experts, the plase looked splendid. The lighting was still found wanting, though. All artifacts were nicely...More
