Had a wonderful Lao experience on Christmas Day. Wife, Daughter and I had booked with Simon online and a Tuk Tuk came to pick us up from hotel. Nouk took us to a local market where we bought the ingredients of what we were going to cook. Then we went to a coffee shop to have some rest and a... More

We did the combined market tour and cooking class with Nouk. Learned how to cook some of basic Lao dishes, very tasty! Great teacher that met us with warmth and kindness and a decent amount of humor. Really recommend this cooking class!

We did the market tour and cooking class with Nouk. She is a very talented cook and very knowledgeable foodie. The market tour really add value to the cooking session. The dishes at her outdoor kitchen were as good as any meal we had in Laos. We have taken more than a dozen cooking classes in Canada and SE Asia.... More

I took this class back in Jan 2016. I've taken other cooking classes in Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. This was the most expensive one I've taken. Don't get me wrong, the class was great. Nook and the team really did a great job communicating with me before and during the class. They set my expectations. Nook is very knowledgeable about... More

You can choose between doing a guided market tour, cooking class or both. We decided to do both. After the guided market tour we had a coffee break and were then taken to the backyard of the teacher's home to do the cooking. We prepared about 4-5 different dishes and ate them afterwards. Nook, the teacher, was really friendly and... More

This was the best thing about Vientiane! Nook accommodated every gastric concern and explained everything clearly. The cooking seemed simple and the resulting food - amazing - I ate so much I could hardly move! It was awesome to see the wet market with an insider's-eye and I learned so much! A definite must do in Vientiane!

We had a great morning in the fresh food market with Nouk. She collected us from our hotel in a tuk tuk and off we went! We love exploring markets by ourselves but having Nouk there made our experience more enjoyable and informed. After collecting some ingredients we had a Lao coffee and then a tuk tuk to Nouk's garden... More
