This is a very interesting museum which tells about the person, whom Bishkek was named after during sovjet times. It contains a lot of pictures, maps and artefacts. You will be guided by a local guide who only speaks Russian and the signs are also...More

Everything here is written in Russian. We (two Americans) had a local translator with us and also a Museum employee who told about the exhibits. Our translator was a lifesaver in this museum. (The Museum Staff member was great! She sensed our interest and responded...More

It is in a very dull building, the presentation is old-fashioned and most of the signs are only in Russian and Kyrgyz so I did not learn too much from the museum itself. But it was interesting to see all the Young local schoolchildren who...More

very informative and entertaining. Staff only speaks local languages, but very enthusiastic: they keep explaining the stories until you understand it :-) Well recommended

The museum has English descriptions, unfortunately not everywhere. The informations seemed to us not chronological or in any other order, so it was hard a bit to find out, what Mr. Frunze made so famous. That's why I suggest to gather a bit informations about...More

This museum is dedicated to the soviet hero "Frunze". Well... It's so over the top in idolizing him that it made me remember north Korean museums. Also, there are extremely few information in English, so you don't really understand many things.
