Beautiful structure that welcomes you every time and all the time. The large space gives it a mysterious look and I felt at peace every time I visited the mosque. Feel like going there every day.

Friendly worshipers pitched in to explain all aspects of the Mosque's features. Large washing halls below to clean ones self before prayer.

As a non-Muslim I have not visited many mosques but found this one welcoming, bright, and peaceful. The external architecture attracts and internally the big open space and carpets created a sense of calm. Worth a visit regardless of religious affiliation.

Beautiful mosque on the main boulevard of Astana. Entrance is free and the builiding is beautiful. Better come here before you look at the newer mosque...afterwards its not as impressive anymore.

This used to be the biggest mosque in town, but is now dwarfed by the new one. It is, however, still worth a quick look.

I visited Nur-Astana mosque last autumn within my bussiness-trip. It is fantastic outline of the left bank of Astana. It was buit in 2005. It looks quite unexpected in the neighborhood of super-modern houses, but harmonious. It is third largest mosque in Central Asia. The...More
