Each of the Monuments and Memorials listed separately along this parkway lessens the value to be had by combining the significance of the total. This is not particularly attractive painted brown, with a cup in the center. It doesn't add to the nearby Monument to...More

The monument is highly decorated and very clean. The area around the monument is very clean and well kept. I visited during New Year celebrations so lots of lights and ornate decorations all around, making it purely beautiful.

Stands majestic from a distance. Clever piece of craftmanship by Cambodians. Definitely a must do. Watch out for pick pockets. Hint: good camera, sun hat, sunscreen, try for sunset and sunrise views, suitable footwear and clothing

Delightful to see so many locals using this beautiful area in the evenings. Right in the middle of the city. So clean.

When you see Independence Monument you will get a sense that you are in Cambodia -- not like seeing Angkor Wat, of course, but of a similar order because of the architectural design. Most tourists will see the Monument on a ride around the city...More

It's just a single monument so not worth going a long distance for the sake of this one thing but can easily be combined with a nice walk towards the waterfront and other places of interest.

If you are in PNH, pls drop by this site for some photos. Especially at night with all the lights in the surroundings, it’s awesome. Be careful when crossing the roads as it’s kind of dangerous.
