It is clearly a place only to show the traditional craftsmanship to the tourists. Nobody does anything with silk when the tourists are gone. Overprices silk scarves that are not weaved at the same place. I expected something more real and was disappointed.

It is interesting to see the production of silk but when you have passed the shop you will be showed / see some imprisoned animals with no space to move, no water to drink (37 degrees outside) and nothing worth to live : monkeys, peacocks...More

The concept of this silk ‘village’ is good. Great if local people can make money from traditional crafts. But there is a small section of badly treated animals in concrete floored cages at the back, don’t know why? There were hornbill birds in cramped conditions,...More

Community Silk Island was on our itinerary as part of Heritage Line's Mekong River cruise on the wonderful Jayavarman . As a result, we were not hassled or badgered as some other tourists visiting this island independently seem to have been from their reviews. I...More

Sorry we can't help. We took a Tuk Tuk from our hotel to the island. Sure if you ask where you are staying they will be able to help you. Good luck!
