The Flicks Community Movie Theaters are the most unique locations in Phnom Penh where you can enjoy the blockbusters, documentaries and the classics on a big wide screen, in "uber-comfy" air conditioned movie rooms, from before there were big cineplexes. The Big Flicks 1 on Street 95 is the legendary little movie theater from the time there was no other big screen in town, located in an original wooden Cambodian house and features an all air conditioned bar and a leafy outside terrace. Its movie room seats 32 people. The Flicks 2 is its little brother in the city center and also screens the must-see movie for all visitors, The Killing Fields, daily in its 16 seats movie room, located on the 2nd floor of a backpackers hotel. Enjoy your movies for only $3.50 per day, with a drink, snacks and homemade fresh popcorn available at the bars! Welcome home!

The selection of the movies is excellent - you can see that the person selecting the movies thinks it through and puts emphasis on variety in it. Plus the fact that they run the movie `the killing fields` every day at the same time is...More

Great place for current and historical movies; check out the documentaries! This was a great alternative for me to learn about the genocide without visiting the killing fields or the genocide museum, which are heavy and gruesome. Seeing the documentary was the alternative I chose;...More

It was a fun way to end the night! The movie house can accomodate less than 20 people feels exclusive which was great. Having spent the day in the museum and understanding what happened to Cambodia in recent history this place balanced the emotion. Although...More

The circumstances in which I visited The Flicks was less that great - On the way I experienced a downpour and being the unique person I am, I managed to break my toe by running into a curb. So upon my arrival I was in...More

Flicks is very comfortable with cushion beds to watch movies and plenty of snacks available (lovely popcorn popped in coconut oil). Choice of movies is limited, and there was some miscommunication - we were told we were seeing the Killing Fields but ended up seeing...More
