We took a 7 day cruise from near Siem Reap to near Saigon. The staff on the boat are wonderful, so lovely and helpful, and the food is excellent. To be honest, 7 days can seem a little claustrophobic unless you love socialising with a smallish group. I would recommend taking the shorter trip from Phnom Pehn which would allow... More

This cruise was excellent in every way. The ship is exactly what you'd hope for and the staff were outstanding: friendly and helpful. Mr Thoia, the cruise director was the key to everything. His good humour and enthusiasm are infectious. The food was generally good and drink was paid for in the package. Many excursions are laid on but of... More

The Mekong River – Me” means “Mother” and “Kong” means “River– is the 12th longest river in the world. It lazes along along for 2,800 miles, enroute picking up silt from China, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia, before splitting into myriad appendages. The rich alluvial soil in those distributaries and the rain helped make Vietnam’s southern plain the rice and... More

From the very start of our Land/River boat cruise our selection of Avalon proved to be the right choice - The hotel choice in Bangkok (InterContinental) and all other land component hotels were excellent 5*. Our least favourite was the Novotel in Ha Long bay, perhaps due to the quality of the others in Bangkok, Siem Reap Hanoi and Ho... More

Our Christmas escape for 2016 was a Mekong River cruise on the Avalon Siem Reap departing Ho Chi Minh on 23/12/16 and leaving the boat in Phnom Penh on the 29th. What an excellent choice that was. The beauty of the river, the organisational skills of the Avalon Team, Mr Ha On and his two local guides, Hai and Sean... More

In December 2016 we have made a cruise trip on the Mekong River by ship Jayavarman of Heritage-line company visiting and learning about Cambodia and South Vietnam. Guest of our trip were couples from different countries (US, UK, Australia, Swiss, Luxemburg and ourselves from Netherlands; part of our group were 2 kids 10-15). We have a surprisingly positive opinion about... More

We booked a three-night cruise from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap and could not have been more pleased. Our bonus was that we were the only couple booked so, basically, we had a private ship, crew, and tour guide! The cruise is an excellent way to really engage with the river and Cambodia itself. The side excursions were well-planned, fun,... More

This Cruisco Cruise was amazing. The staff, food, excursions were all the best ever. The excursions were all included in the price and the selection wad wonderful, we experienced villages, temples, palaces, memorials, the killing fields, every place was fantastic. The food was excellent, the service was 5 star. The river cruise was small enough to enable each of us... More

I came across Heritage Lines "Jahan" while researching Mekong river cruises and booked through Viet Prestige Travel. What a find! Everything about the Jahan is exceptional - the ship is small, just 26 cabins, allowing you to really get to know your fellow passengers. In fact, there were only 41 during our week, a mix of Aussies, Brits, Kiwis, Swiss,... More

we recently travelled on the Mekong from Ho Chi Minh to Siem Reap with Cruise Co. we had an excellent journey, the staff/crew, the fit out, the stop offs and the onboard entertainment were all better than we expected. our cruise director, Rosie, was exceptional, always available, attentive and friendly. our cabin was extremely comfortable and spacious, the meals and...
