This beautiful mosque sits atop a high platform and looks down on a small overgrown garden. The details in the architectural work are beautiful. It is a quick and interesting stroll from the Lalbagh Fort.

The mosque is located at a central portion of the city of Dhaka and it was quite easy for me to reach the place via public transport buses. The mosque depicts the blend of Bengali and Urdu cultures.

Situated on a 10 meter platform, the mosque dates from the 18th c. Its rich, darker red colour mixes with the build up of centuries of grime. The interior space is modest.

A beautiful monumental mosque for muslim tourists. The design on each wall of the mosque will give you a very good symbolic essence of Mughal Period of this Sub-continent.

Khan Mohammad Mridha mosque is located at Atish Khana Mahalla of old Dhaka less than half a Km west of the great Lalbagh Fort. According to history, this mosque is more than 300 years old. There is a flower garden at the eastern side of the mosque. The mosque is accessed from the eastern side, where, there is a stairway with several steps to reach the top of the platform of the mosque. Anyone can go to the upper story by using the stairway, and enter the mosque. The mosque has three domes on top and four decorated pillars in the four corners. The beautiful mosque represents the centuries old architectural significance. It’s a great place to visit by the locals and tourists, who are lovers of historical attractions.

The Khan Mohammad Mirza Mosque on Lalbagh road is situated less than half a kilometre west of the Lalbagh Fort. The spacious prayer place before the main mosque is open in all directions allowing air to flow and keep the Musullis cool.

The Khan Mohammad Mridha Mosque on Lalbagh road is situated less than half a kilometre west of the Lalbagh Fort. Two Persian inscriptions, one over the central archway and the other over the central Mihrab, speak of its construction during 1704–05 AD by one Khan Muhammad Mridha.
This Mosque is another archaic mosque from our Dhaka city. Unlike other mosques, this one has plenty of spaces around it, and not consumed by the proximity buildings.
The mosque was built over a very high vault like platform. Using the stair, anyone can go to the upper store and able to have the beauty of the antiquity. According to the inscription of the central doorway of the mosque, it was built during 1704–05 AD by someone named Khan Muhammad Mridha, and the mosque was named after him.
The mosque has three domes at the top of it and has four pillars at the four corners with traditional ornate. If you visit the mosque, you may find that the door is closed. It usually opens at the time of the prayer.
At the eastern side of the mosque, there is a tomb exists, but no epigraph over the tomb, so it is hard to find anything further about this. Also the there is a garden available at eastern side having various kind of seasonal flowers.
There are plenty of spaces around the mosque. It will allow you to observe the mosque without any obstacle unlike any other mosques from Dhaka City. Having roads at west and north of the mosque kept it detached from other buildings.
