Nice place, but the environmant is noicy

The place is very good and beautiful, jazz festival and mugam performances were held here. But the location is near the very busy road with permanent traffic jams, exhausts, horns, engine noice, which affects the place and became a disadvantage for this place.

especial building like traditional music instrument

Mugham Center Of Azerbaijan is a nice building near Baku Boulevard and it,s look like a traditional music instrument "Tar" wich belongs to Iran. Mugham center is a cultural- musical center and Mugham competitions (vocal and instrumental groups) hold every year.

Nice mugham (folk song) place

It was when I invited a friend of mine from southern Azerbaijan to attend National Mugham Festival. We enjoyed a lot from this concert.

here very good meals but price very higher. situated near to maiden tower at the boulvar. for one person you need pay 35 manat

Building shaped like a Tar!

Mugham is a traditional form of music . It is a genre which is included in the Unesco list of Intagible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The Mugham Center, a unique building designed on the shape of the instrument Tar, was the brainchild of Mehriban Aliyeva who was the First Lady of Azerbaijan. I was very impressed by this unique triple storied building. It has a big concert hall, a recording studio, a restaurant, classrooms and a club. This complex was completed in 2008 and since then it has hosted many Mugham festivals and performances. I loved the effect created by the combination of over 2000 types of glass panes used in this building.
