On a recent trip to Baku we visited Yanar Dag (burning mountain). This was an interesting phenomenon but not sure it was worth the time it took to get there. Given that we had a limited time to see things we would have skipped this and had more time to spend at Gobustan National Park.

Not a huge amount of fire but it does seem to be naturally occurring. This is all that is there but worth a visit.

It is fascinating; fire comes out of the mountains covered with snow. The fire is burning hot to stand by, but you can quickly touch... More

The place is nice and attractive But unfortunately there is nothing but fire There is no restaurant or coffee shop near it. The weather was too cold and ground covered with ice and it was wet and sloppy
