This caravanserai is located in the old city opposite the Multani Caravansarai. Trade caravans coming from Central Asia stayed here in the 15th century. It is a very well preserved building which was restored in 1964. The open yard is octagonal in shape. It is surrounded by balconies and dwelling chambers. Special chambers are there for commercial activities. It is a very interesting travel lodge.

Bukhara, one of the ancients posts for caravans in the Silk Road is a fascinating place to visit, the old bazaars with many crafts still practiced by descendants of the original jeweler maker, miniature painter or carpet weaver, new crafts such as photography, delicious food in places that remind the traveller of the Thousand and One Nights, the locals' warm welcome to visitors make this an unforgettable place.

We came across many of these caravanserai as we travelled around the caucuses. They are linked to the Silk Road and were stop-off places for traders along the way. Some exclusively for one country, others open to anyone, This is a refurbished example now put to many uses.
