Named after French Armenian singer Charles Aznavour, this square was crowded with tourists and interesting artwork when we visited. Also features the Moscow theater. Well worth a walk around!

Nothing terribly exciting about this square ; you will walk past on your way to the center. Armenians are fairly obsessed with Charles Aznavour, one of their iconic sons. Although they gave him a house on top of Cascade, he preferred to stay at the Grand Hotel Yerevan on this square - I guess that's why they named it after him.

On my last day in Yerevan, I decided to visit the Blue Mosque, did not find it, saw this instead. I was impressed watching the water fountain, its water level goes like 7 - 8 feet high. There are small statues of the zodiac signs around the fountain areas. Infront of it is a big Spider Sculpture.

Near the fountain is a hotel, some shops and stores.

A guide has the power to influence how you feel about a country. A poor guide, and you leave feeling ho-hum and maybe you're not interested in returning. A great guide, one who is passionate and extremely knowledgeable, shares their love of their country and makes you love it too. Nvard, was this outstanding guide. She has made me want to come back ASAP to Armenia. Efficient, responsive, kind, passionate, and knowledgeable. All qualities found the perfect guide: Nvard--the ONLY guide to use when in Armenia!
Our trip to the Gerghard Monastery and to Garni was magical. Nvard's song in the monastery was otherworldly.

Visiting Yerevan is remembering the Armenian Love for every corner of this beautiful nation.
For the tears shed by those Armenia had to leave.
