Great views from up here on a clear day of the twin peaks of Mount Ararat in the distance. Walked through a closed amusement park (February) to the Cascade and back down to the city. Old tank, MIG fighter jet and rocket launchers are on display as well as a memorial flame for Soviets lost in WW2.
Nice to see the views on a clear day.

Impressive statue of the mother of Armenia. It symbolizes the victory of Armenia. From the hill you can see the whole city. There are also Soviet helicopters next to the park and further on an amusement park. Unfortunately, if you stay in the center, take a taxi, if there is no bus, it will be a hassle.

She overlooks the city where Stalin once did. I'm sure I like here better. She is grand and there is an eternal flame up where she is also. On a good day you can also get a great view of Mt Ararat from the place where she is.

A really nice and relaxing place but sort of scary when it gets dark, specially the underpass near the entrance. Ofc the underpass is not part of the park itself but it’s a bit dirty and there was a rat passing by or some sort of small animal. Can’t see it properly coz I was near the stairs and it was on the other side.
I actually don’t wanna go and use the underpass and just ask around for other way like bus or cab but they mostly say just go underpass. They just look at me like I’m lazy or stupid or something but I’m just scared, but they are still nice. I got two attempts before I wasn’t scared to go there.
The city lights are like dancing flickering fairies up there, and the fire near mother Armenia doesn’t burn out, and the cross , and there is a telescope up there but I’m not sure if it’s working I didn’t try it. It’s too dark at that park already and I hear strange noises so I didn’t even bother to try it. I wanted to but I didn’t go back in the morning because there are other nice places there.
Going home is scary too, I swish around the selfie stick just incase there are ghosts or aliens. But everything was worth it anyway. I didn’t regret going there at night. It’s a relaxing walk.
I just suddenly remember this place because it gave me mixed emotions happy, scared, sad , tired but relaxing kinda the same feelings I’m feeling now. I’m not really sure if I’m making sense here but all I can say is it’s really good at night but don’t go alone especially if you’re scared of the dark and have a third eye or a sixth sense. I don’t have third eye but the place give me chills already, or maybe because it was winter? I can barely recall 🤣
One thing I learned here is it’s ok to go for something that scares you. I was freaking running when I saw that rat or whatever that animal is but I went for the second time around and just run the other side 😂
Maybe I remember this place because I’m scared now. My parents slowly leaving me, not really sure if I can be that responsible by myself.
Airports usually makes me feel happy specially when I was a kid but on occasions like this it makes me sad. A lot of changes again, I don’t like it but I have to deal with it just like that underpass I guess 😂🤣
Anyway I did mention I don’t regret going here at night coz it’s wonderful but I’m not gonna do it again it’s scary 😂 if I go here next time it will be a morning jog or I go here with my sister 🤦♀️but the city lights in an areal perspective is really magical ♥️🤤😭

This place is known for its nice scenery over downtown Yerevan. Especcially it is nice during the night. The statue itself is a huge one, representing female personification of Armenia. The park in general is ok, but needs to be taken care of more; lots of dried bushes and trees.

Mother Armenia standing firm with her stern look and sword ready to protect Armenia. There are tanks, rockets and other military aeroplanes here! The view of the city is simply breathtaking. A lovely place to relax and walk around. A pretty garden.

Quite unique to be there . Has the reminiscence of past with clear residual of the history being imprinted in the monument

Yesterday I visited the Mother Armenia statue. I noticed that the flame outside the statue was out and the gas just flew out in the air. It can't be good for the envirnment. Does anyone know if that happens a lot?
