Absolutely impossible to get a hold of box office because they don’t pick up the phone at all and when I write a question about how to get a ticket in Instagram page, they look and don’t answer. Beyond unprofessional way of handling customer service. Online way of buying tickets also does not work. So, it’s a shame not to be able to buy tickets, if you are not in Yerevan. I am always able to book in advance in theatres all over the Europe or America. Really really disappointed.

Pleasant to look at from afar, with soviet architecture on display. Unfortunately we did not get to go inside the theater. Perhaps next trip!

Soviet-style circular complex in grey stone, Yerevan Central. The outside is worth walking around, inside is faded glory.
Rightly so, they seem to focus on Armenian national operas and ballets. During my visit, the opera Anush by Armen Tigranian was staged and Swan Lake ballet was planned for October.

Due to its central location and huge size, I used this building as my Reference Point when getting lost during my walks. It is located on a very busy intersection and is easily visible.

Near it are: Restaurants, Shops, Northern Avenue, etc. At the back areas are benches, small electric cars that kids ride around, Statues, children playing, Banners stating their availble shows, etc.

I plan to watch at least one of their shows before leaving Yerevan.

A beautiful performance of Spartacus completely ruined by the constant sound of camera shutters clicking and sight of the professional photographers in the aisles right by peoples seats throughout the whole of the first act … very distracting and sadly I decided to leave during the interval. Disappointing.

Recommend seats away from the front and aisles.

This is yet another great building, I always preferred my travel plan accomodating the opera performance, never disappointed till now.

I just called to asked about availability of any tickets for certain dates they hung up on me in middle of my question, that was rude.
Such a shame I would have loved to see any act there
