We traveled to Amberd Fort on Mount Aragats the highest mountain on Armenian soil. The top is flat but was still snow covered not far from the fort at 2300 meter above sea level

You should go by car, ask in Yerevan for transport. You can find good hotels in Yerevan. You can go peacefully to nagorno Karabach if you want.
