I loved this place. The first floor was his house and the second was built later as a museum. There is a piano with his signature on it. You can also listen to a recording of him playing the piano and singing a song about Armenian spring. There’s also a hand-woven carpet portrait of him that was a gift from Iran.

Upstairs is the museum about Aram Khachaturian's works which is very interesting, and downstairs you actually walk through his home and see his personal belongings. You can listen to a recordings of him singing and playing his works on the piano. It is a very well organized and displayed museum. We asked for an English speaking tour guide and had Lena as our guide who was absolutely wonderful. I recommend getting a tour guide at every museum you visit because it just enhances the experience so much.

A detailed exposition of Khachaturian's life and music.
Ingenious displays of his performances and a nicely kept section of his original house.
Helpful staff.

In this place, my enthusiasm to Armenia was proved for ever. Hope to back here again. In this museum, technology is applied usefully that makes the composer's masterpieces so understandable, interesting and attracting.

Besides the museum which holds the stroy of Khachaturian`s life and his personal belongings, the visitors are allowed to see his house and his garden.
The museum was interesting and greatly represented.

I had the museum to myself one day. I spent about an hour or so walking through the museum. There were some areas where you could listen to some of his works and follow along with a score. His house is on the bottom floor and one of his pianos is on display.

Aram Khachaturian Museum is one of the most beautiful and cosy places here... When you enter the museum, you get into the magic atmosphere of great composer’s lifetime and wonderful music... And what about the concert hall and the garden of the museum.... They are magnificent... I just relaxed in the garden after our tour... The stuff was so nice and helpful... It is for sure one of the best and must-see places in Yerevan ! Don’t hesitate, come along...👍🎶

Although I find some of his symphonies a bit rambling I do appreciate his ballet compositions quite a bit. Having some of his music on our play list during our drive around the Caucuses this summer we knew we had to stop in to the museum dedicated to him in Yerevan recently. It is a bit limited, it didn’t take us long to get through it all and would have liked to have experienced a concert but we will have to come back for that. Overall not a bad tribute for Khachaturian.
