Nothing special honestly if you are not interesting to get know the religion history or story. However, besides of Big Buddha locate on top of temple (will take you few minutes to hike up with some stages), one of point you can have the bird's eye view of Nha Trang from there when good weather.
To be watchful, lot locals will giving you incense sticks on mid of the way to the top, please do not take it as you have to pay with unknown price.
Attire - You can wear short pant if you just visit the outside. You need to wear long pant if go inside of temple.
No admission fee is required.

Our guide Cam, introduced us to the Pagoda and its many facets. We needed to “rent” leg coverings, then liked them so much we purchased them. The many steps to the Buddha were well worth climbing.

The pure white Buddha sitting on his lotus leaf really is a sight to behold. The climb up the steps (some say 150, others 250 but who's counting?!) is well worth the effort - not just for being up close to the Buddha himself, but also for the views across the sprawling city of Nha Trang. Not to be missed.

Nothing special about this place. Just the big Buddha at the top and a hill top view overlooking nha trang buildings. They overcharged foreigners for motorbike parking at VD10,000.. locals pay only VD5,000.

Overall, Long Son Pagoda is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. If you want to go to the Buddha statue above, you can rent a motorbike for 20,000 VND. However, it may not be unique or special for some people. If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the scenery, this Pagoda is a good option. However, if you are looking for a more unique or special experience, you may want to consider visiting another actraction.

Excellently maintained pagoda with multi level organization. At the lowest level is the sanctum of the main pagoda with elaborate Buddhist motifs and paintings and settings of theBuddha. The next level about 100 steps above is the sleeping Buddha (which is quite recent installation) and then about 60 steps above is the sitting Buddha which can be arguably the highest point of Nha Trang. Very well maintained and restored. Take care of the pan handlers and very aggressive merchants selling fans and their wares. All in all excellent historical monument

It's located in center of city, but when I enter in this pagoda, I totally can feel peaceful atmosphere. The grounds, the lying buddha statue itself and the history are all blended to make a beautiful visit. Such a beautiful spiritual place so well kept and a must see!

three weeks ago, i revisited Nha Trang, one day i had a private day tour, long son pagoda is the second stop. actually it is the second time i came here. this time, i noticed some renovation inside the temple. there are two highlighted attractions here. first, a marble statue of reclining Buddha and a tableau depicting 49 of Buddha's pupils assembled on the day of Buddha's death. many tourists love to take photos with the reclining Buddha, and touching Buddha’s feet. After climbing hundred steps to the mountaintop, there is a giant white Buddha statue, it is also an iconic symbol of Nha Trang. when you reach here, you can enjoy the entire Nha Trang City, the view is nice here, but that time i visited, the weather quite hot, and after climbing, i felt thirsty, so i bought two coconut drinks from a shop near the statue, and take a rest there. when i went down to the main area of the temple, suddenly the rain coming, i went to the souvenir shop to take shelter from rain. after i bought some keychains and magnet as souvenirs, the rain stopped quickly. then i continued my next journey.

Sacred beauty marred by incivility
The Pagoda Temple is undoubtedly a magnificent site, a veritable architectural jewel that exudes serenity and spirituality. The detailed carvings and peaceful atmosphere offer an immersive experience of Buddhist culture. The Buddha, majestic and impressive, inspires awe and contemplation.
However, my experience was largely tarnished by the intrusive presence of the vendors. It's unfortunate that this sacred place, supposed to be a refuge of peace, is overrun by hustlers who show no respect for the spiritual environment. Their insistence on selling postcards and other souvenirs makes it difficult to concentrate on the beauty of the place and enjoy the tranquillity.
Rather than welcoming visitors, these vendors sometimes seem to harass them, turning what should have been a serene visit into a race against incessant solicitations. The juxtaposition between the splendor of the temple and the incivility of the vendors creates an unpleasant atmosphere, spoiling what could have been a memorable experience.

This Buddhist pagoda was built in 1886. It is particularly interesting, probably because of the Buddhas that were later erected on a hill above the main shrine. Almost 200 steps lead up to the 24-meter-high Buddha statue. This is the largest Buddha statue in Vietnam. At the foot of the statue, steles commemorate the Buddhist monks who publicly burned themselves to death during the Vietnam War.
From the large Buddha statue you have a very nice view of the sea and the city. About halfway up the climb you can turn left. There you will find a reclining Buddha statue that shows Buddha shortly before his death. Depictions of this kind are rare!

Hello. I know everyone climbs/walks at different speeds. But I was curious if someone would offer a guess as to about how long (in time) it takes someone to walk up to where I can see the reclining Buddha. And is it a steep climb? Are there any places to sit and rest for a few minutes along the way?

Hello, I would like to know if there are specific visiting hours for Long Son Pagoda. Will it be open to visitors on December 24th? Thank you
Written 4 October 2019
It’s open 8am to 5 pm every day, and being a Buddhist temple I doubt that Christmas Eve / Christmas Day would be an exception to that.

Please confirm if Long Son Pagoda visit is free? Also is the Dam Market close by? How close is this Pagoda to Po Nagar Temples? Thanks
Written 16 October 2017
Long Son pagoda is free and there's 2 ways to go up to the Buddha on the top, 1 is the main entrance where you have free parking inside. 2 is the local road straight to the Buddha, where your parking need to pay (10,000 vnd), but sth paid by prices they are deserved.
Dam market is building but still working.
And right, The Pagoda and Po Nagar temples are about 1km each side of the Dam Market. Po Nagar need the ticket for entrance.
Sorry for the late answer. I've come back from a trip to the north. Enjoy your trip in Nha Trang and I willing to answer all the things that I've known.

Written 31 March 2017

Hi, can I visit the Pagoda accessible during Tet (6th February)?
Thanks!
Written 31 January 2016
YES but the crowds are already here and the trains and planes are Full ! If you have not already made your travel arrangements then you are not coming to Nha Trang and your question becomes superfluous !

Is there an entrance fee? How far is it from cruise shuttle drop off? How much should you pay for a pedal cyclo too and from the Long Son Pagoda or a taxi?
Written 17 January 2016
No entrance fee, although the people living there are quite pushy to buy stuff, not sure about the cost of taxis. We walked from the Sheraton, it took about 20 mins.
