Many tourists, myself included, are likely not to know anything about Alexandre Yersin and his remarkable contributions to science and medicine. Always good to learn about someone's life. Just a small museum. But I learnt who Alexandra was. 22.000 entrance fee. But worth it.

Tiny museum with a lot of old scientific tools from Yersin. Nice to walk around for 40 minutes or so.

Alexandre Yersin was a pioneer in the field of microbiology. He discovered a cure for the bubonic plague and he also set up branches of the Pasteur Institute in Vietnam. This museum pays homage to a man of many talents.

And this museum is a little underwhelming in that respect. Something more than static displays are needed. Perhaps a bit of hands on science? Otherwise you could just as easily read about it on Wikipedia :p
