This massive church is really awe inspiring. Unlike churches like the Notre dame Saigon, it is very much unique in its design. It reminded me of something vaguely Asian inspired. The interior is less impressive.

We went there in the morning. A cyclo ride from Nguyen Cong Tru street to the Cathedral cost 40000 Dong. Unfortunately the church was closed. We were able to see the cathedral only from the outside. It's a huge, imposing structure in a massive picturesque...More

Passing by the debate whether it's a cathedral as shown on maps handed out by local hotels it is an unusual structure. It's simple with some pleasant geometry on the exterior while inside its barn like with highlights in blue and widows that contain coloured...More

Couldn’t really tell that it was a church, except for the cross, in the very unusual construction which is a bit like a Pennsylvania Dutch barn on end. Unusual eves evoking its oriental placement. Interior is pretty plain with only colored glass / non pictorial...More

Remarkable old church from the French Colonial days, well maintained and preserved. In use by locals with few tourists. Glad that it’s been preserved. Enjoy!

This church and its connected office and residence building are part of the Redemptorist Order, a worldwide congregation of the Catholic Church dedicated to missionary work. While the church itself is an imposing structure on the outside, I found it to be rather plain on...More

The description and the location in TripAdvisor is wrong. It's definitely not Notre Dame. It's nothing I would really recommend.

Do not expect much apart from an imposing structure. The interior is very basic, not what you exec from a cathedral. However he facade is nice but the side view is much better with an interesting tower

Nice church to visit when you have time to spend. Unfortunately it wasn't open, so we couldn't see the interior. Watch out that you look for the right church, because we saw pictures which we think are from the Notre Dame in Hanoi.

This is a nice spot to visit and even more meaningful if you attend a mass here. A lot of the interiors of Catholic churches were damaged during a purge against religion in this country, but there are still many features of the building that...More
