The lights on the bridge change colours at night, look really pretty at night when walking along the riverfront. Lots of boats nearby offering cruises up and down the river, but they do try and hit you constantly with the sales pitch which get annoying.

The bridge first built in 1897, it is located in the center of Hue city. It crosses the Perfume River and connecting the two banks of the Perfume River flowing through the heart of Hue city.it was the first bridge in the Indochina region to be built using Western engineering methods. i visited it on 4 September this year, after shopping from co op mart,i walked to the bridge,it was around 7 pm, the bridge at night much more beautiful, cuz it is colourful, like a modern lights party,i took lots of pics with background of the bridge.i even walked on the bridge, crossed over it and reached Nguyen Dinh Chieu Walking Street.

We walked this bridge many time to visit new town, citadel, market and so on during the stay in Hue. People go across here to commute, jog and sightsee. The iron bridge shape is nice. The highlight is the nighttime. It’s lighted up by colors. The color changes by seconds. We saw the bridge very close and also from distance from Ca Hue boat trip.

Historical bridge. The sun is shining brightly during the day, and the lights are colourful at night. It's quite cool if you walk through the lane under the bridge.

If you want to take the pulse of the city, stand in the centre of this bridge. It is a historical bridge built in 1899. During the Vietnam War and the Tet Offensive in 1968, this bridge was blown up by the Viet Cong as the defenders occupied the Citadel. It is a beautiful bridge and you will cross it multiple times if you stay in Hue for a few days.

January 2023 -Looks nice at nighttime. Interestingly this structure was engineered by the Eiffel (of Tower fame) Company. Nice example of ironwork construction. But really it's just a bridge. I suppose the fact it's still standing after the American War is notable, and it's a free attraction.

As soon as we arrived in Hue we walked across this bridge to find a gold shop at the market. The pedestrian way is separated form the vehicle road but locals on bicycles often ride in the pedestrian lane so you have to be careful. It is just over 400m long and a perfect place to stop and take photos of boats and fishermen on the river.

Bridge is nice at night and a little bumpy in parts. Go over the bridge and turn right to find the markets.

This iron bridge spans the Perfume River and signified, at the time of it's construction, a modernization of Vietnam under the last imperial dynasty. Now, it has two lanes of traffic and sidewalks outside of the roadway so that you can safely walk across the bridge. We crossed it several times daily on our bikes. The bridge is lit up beautifully at night. Cars seem to be prohibited at certain times - or all the time due to the narrow lanes. We were on bikes so I don't know the details.
