As I wanted to see as many bird species as possible in one day, I booked a tour with Luc Nguyen, one of the best professional bird guides in Vietnam. It was an incredible birding tour with Vietnam Eco Tours. We spotted a lot of birds f.e. orange bellied leafbird, golden throated barbet, blue whistling thrush etc. Luckily we also saw a family of stumped-tailed macaque and we were even able to catch a brief glimpse of the Red Shanked Douc Langur. At the ending of the day, we took the adventural trail to visit the five lakes. The trail itself was not challenging. Mind your steps cause the stones might be slippery while crossing the river. It is advisable to wear shoes with good grip. Luc himself wore plastic slippers ;) You can be sure that your feet will get wet after the trek. If the weather and time permit, you can also swim in the lakes. The weather conditions vary constantly during the day (foggy, sunny, rainy and humid etc), so don't forget to bring a poncho, sun glass, insect repellent. The driver was really excellent. We felt very well looked after during the trip. Thanks for the unforgettable day in Bach Ma Nationalpark, Luc ❤️Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 1 August 2024
- WCOBPaekakariki, New Zealand647 contributionsA gemA friend suggested this and it was worthwhile. After driving up a 15 km road you find forest and bush. The walk along the 7 lakes involve climbing up and down rocks and boulders. There is a safe cable wire through to help you along the trail. I had to change from jandals to running shoes after a short while!!The dip in the lake where we had lunch was refreshing. The view at the top of the waterfall was amazing. Definitely worth a visit.Visited August 2024Travelled soloWritten 14 September 2024

Me and my partner did the 5 lakes adventure trail during rain and without guide. Even though it was a bit slippery and at one point a bit hard to find the right trail it was definitely worth it and easy without guide.
Once at the National park you get a map and pay entry (60k) and the woman working there speaks English and explains what route you should take. The easiest is to start up at the restaurant and walk down. Although we did it the other way around and therefore had a bit of a struggle finding the right turn off to the trail (it’s through the pavilion on the pavement walk). The whole walk is clear to see and marked with signs, ladders and ropes. You walk next to amazing waterfalls and heaps of small lakes you can swim in!

Bach Ma National Park is a must-see. The view on top of the mountain is simply stunning. A beautiful, interesting hike but not an easy climb. There are steep, rocky and slippery paths as you pass through five beautiful lakes. Part of the journey involves using ropes which are quite flimsily constructed. You need good hiking shoes and some medical aid in case you fall. I travelled with TNT Travel which had an excellent guide named Le who was professional and took very good care of all of us. Being a short person, it was challenging but the people on my tour were most wonderful. So many people helped me and I would not have made it without their help, A big THANK YOU to Le and to all who helped me on the 7th January 2020 trip. TNT also provided a delicious packed lunch. NOTE: This mountain is dangerous if it should rain and no one should attempt to hike it, for precaution's sake.

You're competent to escape the high temperature of the mid 12 months. Wonderful the natural world however unblemished. On the off chance you've to buy a dinner right here, you'll be inspired to reserve a spot, they don't normally get an eatery up here. Be that since it might, it's justified no matter the visit of yours.

It's a jungle trek across channels and also the tops and bottoms of waterfalls. Whenever we went it was aproximatelly 20 degrees, wet and misty very. Thus, waterproofs, layers, shorts, as well as waterproof walking sandals/shoes. We're in our 60' s and like walking though we're not hikers so it's perfectly' do-able' for several. Highly suggest this specific journey. It is should have if you contact Central Vietnam. Simply discover a terrific guide and be ready to hike a tremendous amount to find out probably the most amazing places.

The natural beauty is enveloping: forests, waterfalls, hidden trails and quiet streams. It is ideal for those who love trekking and want to get away from the chaos of the city for a day. The fresh air and sounds of nature gave us a truly rejuvenating atmosphere. Absolutely recommended if you are looking for an authentic experience in Vietnamese nature.

Hello. I was wondering if it is possible to enter the park to make a trip by myself, any organised tour or something like that. Just come by motorbike, pay some entrance fee and go. Thanks a lot. :)
Written 17 May 2019
You can do it by yourself, but I highly recommend you to go with guide otherwise you can be lost due to park so huge. Because on our way, there are two times we found tourist who lost their way within the park and we invited them to join us. We continued the trip together then by our boat. It gives more fun on their face :)

Hi, I would like to ask you whether it is possible to drive in the park on our motorbikes? My impression is that there is a main road (for cars/motorbikes/bikes) from which there are several trails to hike. Thank you. B.

Can anyone help? We were hoping to camp overnight (and hire equipment) but the company we tried to book with said they don't do camping now. Can you still camp here and hire a tent etc? If it's difficult to do alone has anybody been with an affordable company? Our cheapest offer has been approx $180 each! For a day and a half tour and camping/cheap accommodation is a bit steep!?

Hi.
Im Staying in Da Nang and want to visit the Ba Mach nationalpark. But can’t figure out how to get there? Where is the beginning of the park (name) and is a one day trip possible and how long should I expect it to take?
I really want some information as I really want to go but can’t find that much information about the park or transportation.

I would like to go from Hue to Hoi An but I’d like to stop in Bach Ma National Park, is it possible? And how much it will be? Thanks!
Written 6 February 2019
I think you should go to Bach Ma either by booking a tour bus with a guide or hire a car and driver so you can walk some trails and the driver can pick you up at pre arranged points, return to Hue then go to Hoi An.
Hope that helps.

Will my 7 year old daughter be able to walk the less adventurous route?
Written 2 February 2019
Hmm, I guess yes, but I would try to ask the tour operator more details about the route beforehand. It might also be possible to tailor the trip to suit your needs, at least it doesn't hurt to ask. As I took the more adventurous route I'm not exactly sure how long the other route would have been, but I think the guide said that it would have included only walking on paths, no difficult river crossings, jumping, or climbing, but I'm not 100% sure. The trip can be a bit tiring even when taking the easier route as it is a long day, so I guess it also depends on how much she enjoys walking in the nature etc.
Our hotel staff booked the tour for us, and they didn't know much about the content. However, the tour guide (from TNT travel) was very communicative and knew the forest like his own pockets, so I would try to talk directly with the guide.
