Beautiful pillow covers for a good cause. Also made from recycled materials. Whatever you buy you will be reminded of the children you helped and the goodness in people around the world. It is shop like these that bring people together and make you realize we are human and global citizens.

Everything about this shop is a win win. All objects are made from recycled materials so this shop helps the environment while providing a working wage for their artists. I had read about the Wounded Heart Foundation and Shop before my visit and was not disappointed. It was wonderful being greeted by the artists with a cup of tea while wandering through the two small rooms filled with lovely handicrafts made with recycled materials. There are photographs showing well known actors that have also made purchases to help support this cause. As we went just before the Christmas holiday, we were able to purchase tree ornaments made from newspaper and other gifts, We also bought three fabulous wire bowls, and coasters also made from old newspapers. Every purchase also helps fund heart surgeries for children. All the products have a small stuffed heart as their signature. The price point for al the products are very fair. We saw jewelry, cloth bags, scarves, recycled glass cases, pouches, of various sizes, wonderful bowls both. Their basket weaved bowls were stunning1

I had read about this shop in the Lonely Planet Guidebook and so had it down as a must-see in Hue and boy was I not disappointed. On arrival we were greeted by a staff member and giving some delicious tea to drink while walking around. I didn't have enough hands to buy all of the things I wanted! Everything was so beautiful and unique, not to mention, well-priced. In fact, It was so good I found a little something for all my family back home. My favourite is definitely the mini-rickshaw I bought for myself made out of recycled newspaper. Such an incredible place to go to if you're in Hue!!

Our visit to the Healing the Wounded Heart shop, in bustling downtown Hué, was a delightful experience. This is a colourful and welcoming space full of interesting and well-designed products many of which were suitable to buy as gifts. The fact that everything is made from recycled products, and that profits go to such a worthwhile cause, are unique selling points. Take a look..you won’t be disappointed!

Had such a wonderful experience at this shop today. Super friendly people working at the store and such a wide selection of creative products. One of the most unique shops I've been in while traveling through Vietnam. If you have some free time you must go!

If you visit the city of Hue this little shop should be on your list of things to see. The artisans working here are hearing impaired so please bear this in mind. The goods are made from discarded recyclable materials. A portion of the proceeds go to providing assistance to underpriviledged children in need of heart operations. The cafe is very nice as you can have a coffee or coconut juice in peace as you decide which items you wish to take home with you. If you visit and feel like the staff is watching you it is because their hearing impairment requires them to use their eyes in order to provide great service, not because of a lack of trust. You can also watch the staff create new items when not busy helping customers.

This shop is run by artists with a disability who make a range of artworks & craft from recycled materials such as old phone wires & plastic. We were lucky enough to meet many of the workers & have our very own “telephone wire” ring made. So much talent!
Support this place & the work it does. Proceeds from this shop go to help the workers, all of whom have a disability & also help fund a range of (medical/health) programs. A win for everyone.

Wandered into this shop, which is very open to the street in the central section of Hue. Was immediately impressed by the range, quality, and creativity of the productions on display! Actually, some of the most compelling contemporary crafts pieces that I saw on the tour to Vietnam. The cause, of course, is most moving and compelling, so I would advise visitors... come here, enjoy the art, and support a very worthy cause.
