Ok so the various pieces of hardware are rusting away neglectedly which is a shame. But it's well worth the 30k Dong entrance fee to see the MIG, the Huey and a few other pieces, if nothing else the way the anti-imperialist descriptions are written make it worth having a look. There are three buildings with lots of photographic memorabilia to look at too, it's a shame the writing is a little small for my older eyes.
Overall worth a look if you have a spare hour and an interest in the Vietnam war.

This museum present a different view of the war and not a pretty picture of Americans to a degree even though we were fighting for Vietnam. Lots of old relics to see that were left behind.

Not really much to see here beyond the old planes and tanks. That being said its worth a look considering the price to get in.

This was very disappointing after the museum inHo Chi Minh , hoping to learn more about the war in this part of Vietnam 🇻🇳. The staff were not interested or helpful . Not worth going out of the way to find better off getting a tour to DMZ .

Enjoyed the war museum, it’s not huge but worth the time. Some of the tanks and planes bring home just how much material effort has gone into the war.

We could not find this venue. It is possible that this museum has been moved or closed. That said, this area of way is very interesting, and we had a pleasant walk while trying to locate the museum.

I was hoping for an emotional tribute to the battle of Hue. What I got were a few burned out machines of war and a bunch of blurry artifacts in an unlit room.
Just such a horrible miss. Fortunately it’s only like $1.50 and you can see the planes and tanks through the fence.

Stumbled across this museum when on a night rickshaw ride around the old city and saw the unmistakable silhouette of a Bell UH-1 helicopter. A small museum to mainly highlight the part that Hue played during the Vietnam War. The buildings contain some interesting exhibits but is not expansive. The external collection is available to view even when the main museum is closed and is opposite the recreation area just inside the city wall. Four aircraft and several tanks and artillery pieces are on display. As an earlier reviewer said, it is not a large museum but is worth a visit, particularly if you like old 1970's aircraft or armoured vehicles.

This was my second trip here and I enjoy looking at the old military equipment aircraft, vehicles, and artillery outside. Many of the signs for the equipment are faded and can be difficult to read. The indoor sections are located in two buildings - one for the American and the other for the French Resistance Wars - and houses photos, small weapons, and other war items. English language descriptions are available but are somewhat limited in their scope of the war.

Unfortunately it’s just one room which focusses on the American anti war effort only. Interesting in itself but nothing about the Battle for Hue or the war generally. All military equipment removed.
