A lovely green space that looks really nice and manicured. Was a nice stop on a hot day to get away from the constant traffic. The mozzies were strong here though, we had spray on and were being buzzed. A lot of workers in here having a coffee break or maybe lunch meeting up with friends. Nice break from madness.

Just wandering around some attraction in the downtown and heading to Independence Palace, we passed by the park. Many trees 🌳 but surrounding traffic is heavy and you can not really relax. It is nice for eyes 👀 but heavy for ears 👂. What is great to find natural shelter under the trees 🌳 🌳 🌳 when strong sunshine ☀️

This is a really nice space to meet with friends in the evening and just relax and chat while having some food or a drink. It's a very chilled space and attracts lots of locals just taking time out during their day. Many people also come here to just play the guitar or walk to exercise. A really nice space.

I always love walking in this park. It was covered by ancient trees whom are our historical observers. It was a cool and beautiful place.

Visiting the adjacent historical buildings and strolled through this oasis of calm while all around there is the madness that is HCM City traffic. Seems to be a favourite haunt of locals of all ages during the day with people seated, enjoying lunch or just gathered in small groups. Thankfully it has escaped the hawkers to date. Well maintained and mostly free of rubbish. If you are a lover of trees there is a great variety to admire.

This park is right in front of Independence Palace and runs up to Notre Dam Catedral at the other end of it. It's a great gathering place for locals especially in the evenings as they converge to eat, drink and chat with their friends and partners. Lots going on in and around the park with people playing guitars and singing and others enjoying the warm evenings with a picnic.

Not much to say about the park. I think that should not be for the nearby palace it would not be listed to high. However, there are nice places around to eat (such as Propaganda).

The best place in Saigon (I mean, park) to see life happenings in every minutes of a day and is the center to all the other places in Ho Chi Minh city.

Cong Vien 30-4 is a city park situated between the Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral and the Independence Palace. The park has large trees, providing shade, crossing footpaths and a fair number of park benches, offering visitors a place to get off their feet and rest a bit after visits to the cathedral, Central Post Office or Independence Palace.

There are more interesting city parks to visit in HCMC, like the Tao Dan Park and the long and narrow Cong Vien 23 Thang 9 park just west of Ben Thanh Market. However, this one is conveniently located for those visiting attractions in this area of the city so you might want to make a stop here if intending to spend time nearby.
