Some of the reviews of this market are ridiculous and based on preconceived ideas of values and standards. It’s a small bustling, crowded, hot, local market full of locals and the odd tourist. It’s an experience that should not be missed. If you are not into “real” experiences then probably best stay in your hotel lobby and sip a western style coffee. Alternatively visit, buy a knockoff polo shirt, smile and enjoy..

Terribly racist environment against westerners. The parking attendant refused to park our motorbike saying it's full, but continued to accept viet riders bikes. The vendors all raised their prices for foreigners. We speak vietnamese and heard different prices in each language based on race. ALL OF THEM. And saying nasty things about foreigners in Vietnamese. We live here, and will steer all of our contacts, including tour operators, away from here.

We went to this local market advised by a guide. It has a lot of fabric to buy both ready made and unstitched. Lots of clothing related decorative stuff including cloth linings. Flowers , buttons etc etc. There were also some shops with porcelain stuff.

But go there you need to buy a variety of clothing of good quality else head to Ben Thang. Prices quoted are reasonable with a 10-20% bargain when buying stuff of > 100000- 200000 VND or more.

Tourist location with aggressive fake brand and souvenir sales. Better visit a real market for locals! There are dozens around.

We have been to this market in every of our trip to HCMC and our recent one was no exception.

This is a local market (unlike Cho Ben Thanh that is touristy) about 15mins ride from the city center, prices here are reasonable and bargainable and the people here are very friendly. Just like other markets, it has stalls selling both cooked and fresh foods, flowers, clothings, shoes, bags, household items and even watches!

Highly recommended.

Everytime we bought a lot of dried foodstuffs and they even provided free delivery service to our hotel.

From here, do remember to visit the Pink church, located just about 150m from the market, another iconic landmark!

Unlike the Ben Tanh market, it seems more like a wet market. Perhaps COVID changed its settings. It is relatively small. Visited for about 15 minutes and left.

This is a smaller but more civilised market. The stalls included: fabrics, clothing, groceries, accessories, footwear, fruit & kitchenware. Unlike Ben Thanh, the stall holders did not hassle and if you showed interest were prepared to haggle and got help if they needed assistance with your language. As a consequence we made several purchases.

The market is similar to other markets like Ben Thanh market etc. They sell a huge variety of items from food to clothes. A major plus point about this market is that they sell items at reasonable prices and not exorbitant prices. Can afford to bargain a little too if one wants but the prices are generally way better than places like Ben Thanh Market. The market is also quieter and less crowded.

This is not a tourist market, more a market to wander and check out locals fruit, vegetables and meat. It’s a hive of activity and motorcycles weave in and out of the aisles. Good fun to engage on local activity.

Saves a lot of time and effort because it is the locals market, you get the locals price at these fixed price markets. Good range. Watch out for scooters down most aisles....
