Mostly done by hand, what a lot of work! No wonder the prices are high! It was fun watching the artists working at their craft, but I can't imagine squatting all day working like this! Showroom was very nice, but nothing is cheap!

one of the typical merchant tours that are usually just a chance to get you to buy stuff, this one was somewhat interesting as I’ve always thought lacquer boxes were nice. These are above average quality as they use more layers of lacquer which preserves...More

Enjoyed see the lacquer gallery and process used. No machines all hand created products. The show room is spectacular even if you don't care for lacquer art. You can negotiate if you find something you like. They also have silk and jewelry products.

This was the usual - see how they make it and then buy the produce! The lacquer ware was actually very nice and although I don't usually buy from these tourist traps, I did buy 3 pieces as I thought the quality was good and...More

As lacquer ware goes, these things look very nice. But I don’t know that they really translate when you take them back home. The sales people were not pushy which was very nice and this large store is air-conditioned.

Bought a vase at USD154, which I thought was expensive but went ahead since the service personnel was pretty polite and I desperately needed a vase that size for my plants. The packing was fantastic I must say. Brought it back home to Singapore and...More

I spent about 40 minutes here as part of a tour. A short explanation of the process followed by some time spent in the gallery where a range of lacquerware was on display for purchase. Prices ranged from around $10 to whatever you were prepared...More

Stopped here on a tour and it was very interesting. They had hundreds of lacquer items for sale, cups, plates, serving dishes, candle holders, etc. We purchased a set candle holders that my wife loved. The group we were with got a little carried away...More

but there are a lot of tourists here and the noise level is significant - the guides go through the process very quickly, so get up close so you can hear how these beautiful and painstakingly labour intensive works of art are made. The store...More

Visited as part of the city tour. Had a good time observing the processes and the gallery. There are all types of souvenirs (mostly similar to the ones at Benh Thanh market and the night market), but the quality and prices (obviously!) are higher. Not...More

Sorry but we only purchased items when we were there and don't have any insights about how to order online. Good luck.
