Me and my girlfriend went there for dinner. We took few photos of us around the lake and were asked by security for 300,000 VND to pay when taking photos with my phone. The security forced me and my girlfriend to leave the complex if we did not pay. Security tried to force us by pushing me and my girlfriend out of the park when refused to pay. No vietnamese were asked to pay, seems like another scam to get money from foreigners. We complained to the main office but were completely ignored. Its a shame that everywhere vietnamese e are trying to cheat foreigners. Its the worst experience I have every had in vietnam as a foreigner. I will never go back.. Beyond belief!!

I was a bit concerned when everyone said to go on weekend's to try the amazing buffet. I decided to go on a Monday and I'm so glad I did. This place is a photographer's heaven. Everywhere you turn there are picturesque settings and the Buffet was still going on. This is my first time in Vietnam and this buffet only served Vietnamese food which was perfect for me because there were over a hundred dishes to choose from. It was a taste of the country.... the cab ride from my hotel which was close to the airport was 140000 and the Buffet was 240000.

I found this place on accident, while substitute teaching at a nearby school. After a few months in the craziness of Saigon, I was overjoyed to find a peaceful green place within the city. There are two separate areas within the Binh Quoi Village complex; Binh Quoi 1 and Binh Quoi 2. The actual region where these are located is pretty cool in itself, with a completely different, far more rural feel.
Within Binh Quoi 1 is a large green space, which holds events or concerts and has a pretty impressive buffet featuring a plethora of foods from the Mekong Delta (the entire resort was built as a nostalgic ode to this region). Here it is breezy and quiet, free from the noise pollution of a million motorbikes. It will cost you nothing to take a walk around the resort, swing on the swings, sit on the docks overlooking the small mad-made river. There is often someone selling ice-cream, for a small free. Bathrooms & facilities are clean and nice.
Binh Quoi 2 is an actual resort, with lovely little intentionally rustic-looking cabins on stilts (rooms start at 360,000) above the river, connected by wooden boardwalks. There is a restaurant here overlooking the Saigon River and a swimming pool (which non-guests can use for 40,000 dong). The grounds (flowers, landscaping, ponds) are perfectly kempt. This place is also QUIET, especially during the week–which is exactly why I like it.
If you want to save money on a cab--you can catch a public bus (Bus 44) from the front of Ben Thanh market for 5,000 dong. The same bus will take you back. The trip takes 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic.

I was fortunate to go with 3 Vietnamese friends. The travelling village was explained is a place for vietnamese from Ho Chi Minh City to go.
We were there for over 2 hours took many photos saw many sites new and old. Other visitors like us mostly vietnamese some non-vietnamese like me. Unfortunate we didn't stay for the 5pm buffet but Van is vegetarian she was hungry no vegetarian there.
I will defintely go back.

Now, you can take the water bus from the Bạch Đằng station to travel up the Sai Gon river to get to Binh Quoi.
Get ready to take a lot of pictures.

This place a bit far from HCMC as the place is a village area. But most tourists from ASIA and EUROPE will come and enjoy their dinner here which was driven by tour guides. With a entrance fees vnd350,000 ( usd15 roughly based on today rates ) you are entitle to " EAT ALL YOU CAN ". Foods from bbq, steams, grills, shells, and even sweets including majority local foods mixed with standard foods which 40-60 dishes to be choose.
As muslims travellers you also can enjoy eating here as they also have seafoods and fish available either normal cooks or grills. I love the sweets they make. Really delicious and differents totally differents with the sweet selling roadside. Open Saturday and sunday only to attracts more visitors they also play traditional musical singer and also have playgrounds with some games for the kids and visitors.
Ask your tour guides when you want to go there .....

After reading some of the reviews people seem disappointed after coming here hoping its a tourist attraction, a place for things to do - it definitely isn't. Its just an awesome Vietnamese buffet style restaurant set in a quaint park. Great atmosphere, the food is amazing - over 50+ items of traditional Vietnamese food from BBQ, seafood, noodles, dessert, tea - all very good! We came for lunch and it was 270k - very reasonable! A little hot as its all outdoors under huts - but hey you're in Vietnam! ;) Then after lunch you can take a 30min stroll thru the grounds to see the ponds, the many couples getting photos and then get on your way! A very fun dining experience, we really enjoyed it!

This is a quite a big park with lots of nice backdrops to be used in photographs. It's a popular place for wedding pictures too.

We went here by recommendation on a Sunday to try out the Buffet.
Originally I thought it was just an outdoor buffet but its in a beautiful garden and you can pass time by taking pictures and watching the other events going on.
The buffet and atmosphere was amazing. It did seem far getting back by taxi to HCM City but there are plenty of taxis around in the car park.
It got really busy, during the first 2 hours so make sure you get there early to get a space to sit.

This village was about 45 min away from HCMC by car. It was just a quiet and peaceful park. Not much impressed.

Hello! Is Binh Quoi open on the 4th of February, before Tet? And are there any special decorations, flowers etc?
Written 27 January 2019
It's free to walk around when we were there in January. No one ever stopped us or asked us to pay or buy anything, even though we walked by a table where they were obviously selling tickets to the buffet.

Does anyone have opening times for this place? I was hoping to visit on a Monday morning.

Bonjour
Bonne Chane.
