The HCMC art museum spreads over three colonial type buildings . It has a bit of everything: old ceramics, pre-war and post-war oil paintings, sculptures, modern Vietnamese paintings. The latter are actually quite good and worth looking at..... the description of the art works is in many cases deficient and in some cases altogether missing. In some cases, there is... More

If you're not into art, you're probably just gonna stroll around the beautiful place. The ceramic tiles are pretty and the space will remind you of old English eras. The entrance fee is really cheap and there are two buildings. Art includes sculptures, big oil paintings on canvas and watercolor paintings from before and after the war. There are toilets... More

Beautiful museum in old colonial era building, with good art on the walls. Has kept its charm while being tastefully modernized. There is no AC. The garden cafe is beautiful and the food very tasty, although pricey as normal for museum cafes.

The building of the museum itself is worth seeing. Inside, the most interesting are the artefacts from the earlier period of Vietnam's history, the earliest from the 7th c. Later artefacts are mostly connected with the fight for the liberation from the colonial rule of the French.

The museum is located quite near to the Ben Thanh Market or the Takashimaya Shopping Mall which should make it rather easy to spot. There are in total 3 buildings with different set of collections. In its entirety, this museum will be worth your time unless you're just not someone who is into/appreciate fine arts. One thing I would complain... More

This museum is located in three fascinating buildings which have a character of their own. The artworks are lovely a great selection ad range of artists. Particularly enjoyed the recent artwork in the second building, some very talented Vietnamese artists.

An interesting panorama of Vietnam modern art with mainly local artists. A place where you could spend more than 2 hours. I really enjoyed this visit
