This is named the highlight of Ho Chi Minh City. It is Ok but I would not call it a highlight but there again there is nothing much in Ho Chi Minh to really see

We took a cab to visit this place but felt it is not a great place to be in your itinerary unless you don't have anything else to do. The government building near the square is nice. Also, don't confuse this with the "Saigon Square" which is a shopping arcade nearby.

We walked by twice on our way to Saigon Square, nice peaceful atmosphere in a buzzing city. Nice lights surrounding the areas by night.

This promenade extends the length of the main street from the town hall to the river, and is a easy walk. It is busy and fun at night, with it pretty much deserted during the day. restaurants and sights can be accessed from it, especially the tall financial building. At the end of the walk, you can cross the busy... More

Walking through Saigon are many nice squares, some with nice gardens and seats to rest up before tackling more of Saigon on foot. The one in front of the Town Hall and the Notre Dame Cathedral are particularly nice

The modern square really sets off the primary historical attraction and the Ho Chi Minh statue very well. It is a great place to walk around before the performance at the Opera House.

Near the up market shopping area. Lovely square with fountains and open space. Very touristy and great statue of Ho Chi Minh. This was part of my Afternoon city tour. Would recommend it.
