It was an overwhelming sight for me. As you enter the pagoda, you will be welcome by large statues and the smell of incense.

If you are into pagodas, you can visit this one as well.Top choice taoist temple in Ho Chi Minh City.. Built in 1909 in honour of the supreme Taoist god. Lots of small rooms, people around praying, turtles etc...

Because it was a Saturday and in the middle of the Lunar New Year there were hoards of people here celebrating. The interior of the pagoda is beautiful and we would definitely go back when we could take our time for a proper visit.

We stopped here at the Emperor Jade Pagoda, and I thought there would be something spectacular inside to see. There are many small rooms, some monks chanting and playing instruments, and lots of burning incense. If you've been to a pagoda or a Buddhist temple...More

A very pleasant religious site and well worth the visit. Loved the incense smell and the mix of tourists and people visiting the pagoda for delicious purposes.

I was staying in District 1, so it took me an actual AGE to walk here (like must have been 4 km or something! I had to stop for a drink). I'd say it was worth it, you got to see a bit of HCMC...More

Very dark, dingy and untidy. If you're averse to incense don't go.....you can hardly breathe because of it.

Loved the turtle ponds and inside the interesting cravings in the Jade Pagoda. It's busy with the locals worshipping and they not put off by the amount of visitors wandering around, in fact I was lucky enough to be guided around and have the carved...More

One of the more popular temples in Saigon, so expect lots of tourists. There are however many locals who visit the temple for worship, which is nice to witness first hand. The surrounding grounds are peaceful and relaxing, with lots of greenery and many benches...More

I wore shorts and had no problems. Although it was a tad chilly at the end of December.
