The park is Nice but why is there an eagle held attached to a tree ? It has no reason to be there, the poor bird was in very bad shape !

Lovely open space for much needed respite from the busy roads of the city. Lots of locals and groups of schoolchildren spending time together.

We walked around this park during our last morning in Ho Chi Minh City and it was quite lovely. Lots of statues, plants, and flowers. A nice break from the chaos of the city. Close to Independence Palace.

This was a pleasant surprise. In the middle of crazy Saigon are all these beautifully maintained green spaces with paths, coffee shops, things for kids and exercise stations. So green and peaceful to walk through to catch your breathe and a few degrees cooler which is nice. Lots of people there sitting with takeaway drinks catching up with friends. A really nice spot.

This park is the venue for the largest annual flower exhibition in HCMC called, "Hoi Hoa Xuan" and it is set up specially for Tet, the Vietnamese Lunar New Year.

Other than few hundred metres of blooming flower decorations and topiaries, it was pretty cool to see the various competitons between the best grown apricot plants (Vietnamese New Year flower), numerous breeds of orchids, meticulously-shaped bonsai, even some fish tank plant decor, exotic fishes, etc. There were two amusement parks set up on two ends of the park for little ones and adults looking to have some silly fun. They also sell elaborately carved wooden furniture worth thousands of dollars. Personally, I find that this entire flower exhibition a great display of the artistic talents AND amazing horticultural expertise of Vietnam.

If you're a tourist who only likes to stick to air-conditoned malls and Westernized cafes, you might not like this.

But if you are actually someone who likes to immerse in the local culture, there's no better way than to enjoy what the locals enjoy here --- the annual celebration of bloom of spring in this park in the middle of town.

50,000vnd or 2usd per ticket.
Starts a week before Tet. Ends a week into Tet.

I appear to be in the minority but I didn't like it. To me it was just an ordinary park in the middle of a busy road. Lot's of things for children. January 2023 and much of it is closed off due to the Tết festival (Lunar New Year).

Right in the middle of town but it's peaceful, pretty and well maintained. There are some sculptures to view. You can also sit and people watch - playing badminton, tai chi, jogging, families having fun with children. Lovely place to take a rest. Surprised me.

Enjoyed the birdwatching trip at the local park in the city. The park was thankfully quiet and not crowded, unlike the Botanic Garden and Zoo which was noisy and overly crowded. I managed to spot a few wild birds which was the intention of this visit. It was a short trip so we managed to squeeze in some time for the park.

While Ho Chi Minh City is a lively city with lots to offer, sometimes the noise and polluted air can be too much to handle. Tao Dan Park, a huge, lush space right at the centre of HCMC, is a perfect option. This urban oasis is serene (relatively), peaceful and pleasant for a stroll. It is also a popular hangout place among locals.
