My husband and I chose this course on our last day and it was perfect. We had thoroughly enjoyed the Vietnamese food during our trip and so we wanted to learn more about the strange ingredients and how we might prepare them ourselves. Our chef Oanh met us at the market - very straightforward and she spoke excellent English -... More

My wife and daughter (12 years old) did a couple of cooking classes here during our trip and had a really good time. The first time was with a larger group and the second time was just the chef and the 2 of them. The classes were excellent fun, educational and tasty. The place is in a well appointed kitchen... We did the market tour followed by the cooking class. Nice time learning how to prepare and share a local meal with the family. We repeated what we learned at home with good success!

We chose the half day with market tour before. Chef Ly is lovely and engaging and very enthusiastic. We walked around the market to understand how the food is used and what some of the produce is as we don't normally see this back in Europe. Excellent English so she was able to answer all our questions and make jokes.... More

The Saigon cooking class with chef Ly was a wonderful part of my trip to Vietnam this March. I chose to do both the market tour before the cooking class and if you are not familiar with Asian food, I would highly recommend adding this to your class. We met at the Ben Thanh market and learned about the variety... More

I have a confession to make: I'm a picky eater. Worst of all, Asian food is my least favorite regional cuisine. Nonetheless, when I was looking through my guidebook for suggestions of things to do while in HCMC, the Saigon Cooking Class sounded like fun and came highly recommended. I'm truly glad that I didn't let my general dislike for... More

There was another couple of people who were in the tour with us so 4 people with 4 motorbikes & drivers went around together. Stopped in a markets where locals go to get their groceries. Got to eat 3 different... More

I took this cooking class with my wife & our friend, and we all had a wonderful time. We learned how to make 3 dishes -- a salad, a soup, and spring rolls. We chose not to attend the optional morning trip to the market to pick out the ingredients but did not feel like we missed much. The class... More
