We booked a 3 day personalized tour for the two of us, stating in Can Tho and ending in Ho Chi Min City.
Excellent service from the initial point of contact, with a full itinerary proposed, shared and adjusted where relevant. Super clear and honest communication.
We were greeted by our guide Lee and driver Ut, who were superb from start to finish and we enjoyed 3 full packed days of cycling, kayaking and exploring the Mekong Delta. We were promised an itinerary that would allow us to see local life and not be disturbed by large groups of tourists. This is exactly what we experienced.
Highlights were cycling through the local villages, kayaking along the Mekong Delta, interacting with the local people and sampling traditional food and drinks.
Really impressed by the service from start to finish.

Bao led us on a spectacular tour of the Mekong Delta. He kept us entertained during the bus ride there with his expertise of the region and Vietnam culture. We biked about 15 miles through the Cai Be city and then kayaked through the canals of the Mekong. The floating markets he explained are no longer functioning, they are a thing of the past, though we saw about 5 people living on their boats, which he called a floating village. Our favorite part of the tour was where he stopped to give us traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Cafe su da, bahn mi, pho, fried banana, sugarcane juice, coconut water, fresh fruits. Everything was delicious. We highly recommend this tour for people who are active and can withstand a day of activity in the sun.

First off, our Guide Lee was amazing, so full of local knowledge and adventure spirit.
We spent 2 days cycling and kayaking thru Mekong’s heartland with numerous experiences with the local people which is what we wanted, not like the other tours advertised that seem to involve a lot of shopping for tourist traps.
Our Homestay was great even did a cooking class which was a lot of fun.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour and guide (Lee) to any like minded person visiting Vietnam.

Thank you Bao for our 2 day Mekong cycle/kayak/homestead adventure. Great trip, we especially loved the 2nd day spent on An Binh island, great rural cycling, lush gardens, interesting ferry trips and the kayaking scenery was beautiful. I recommend people bring quick drying shorts so if you get wet sitting in the kayak, you don’t have to cycle in wet shorts. And pack overnight stuff in small comfortable backpack as you will cycle at least 25km carrying your overnight bag. Very interesting insight into rural Vietnam.

I enjoyed one day of kayaking and biking in the Mekong Delta with Chau. Chau is a guide full of passion, specially for the area he grew up in. Lovely trip, people, fruit, lunch and scenery. Keep up the good job Chau!

Had an amazing experience with Lee from Countryside Adventures! He is very fun and enjoys a laugh! I love being physically active on holiday, so this adventure was perfect! We enjoyed a lovely kayak down the river, with delicious fruit on route. Then cycled to lunch with a short rest, and then cycled back to the bus. Lee really looked after us, made sure we were hydrated, and were able to experience the local culture of the Vietnamese people living in the area. Really enjoyed the experience! Thanks Lee 😊

We experienced Mekong By Bike for four days.
What a joy it was cycling with Bao hanging out with Chao. They were wonderful, they taught us what to eat with what, they taught us local customs and traditions, they taught us history, local traditions and experiences - and we taught them fun US slang.
I needed to stay in touch with work, every location we stayed had good internet (I was real nervous about this).
Bao and Chao were so positive and fun, would do it again in a second!!! I'd request Bao every time!!!

The trail is relatively easy, but with a good mix of road and off roads, slopes and stuff. I went with a group of 10 of us and they all really kind as I'm not that good of a rider so I had some bumps and was slow. However, it was really nice to take in the sights of the villages, animals, plants, locals, etc. The guide took good care of us and we had stops along the way for breaks, lunch. We finished off with an option to kayak or stay on the boat, then complete with a cruise along the river. The drive to the city and back takes around 2 hours each way. Please be punctual, don't let your fellow tour mates wait!

Châu is an excellent guide and a good man. The “Mekong delta by bike and boat” tour was an unique! The best way to see and feel what you imagined about this area. And the fresh food on the island was really wonderful too!
