I've had the best service ever with Blue Dragon Tours!!! Mrs Jolie was always responsive and reliable. She did all her best to satisfy our requirements for this trip in Hanoi and Halong Bay, always responded to our emails in a timely manner. I was really impressed. Everything went smoothly!
I have booked for my family and myself a package 2nights hotels in Hanoi + 3 days/2nights with Azalea Cruise and cannot describe how wonderful this trip was.
I will definitely return to Halong Bay and 100% will use the service of Blue Dragon tours!!

We arranged a private tour with Blue Dragon Tours / Vietnam Tours, and from the first moment of engagement, our single point of contact, Ly An was very efficient and helpful.
We had a rough idea of where we wanted to go in Cambodia and Vietnam and Ly An suggested a great looking, very detailed schedule (albeit a little hectic for the time we had, but that was completely down to us), and the price looked extremely fair.
Ly An suggested hotels (we stayed in 10 different hotels in just under 3 weeks), which all looked great and were in line with the guidance we gave her. After a couple of minor amendments, Ly An proceeded to book all our internal flights (5 !) and our hotels for us.
As well as all our hotels and flights, Ly An also arranged all our private drivers (7) and English speaking tour guides (5). There were also several meals included.
From the time we arrived in Phnom Penh to the time we left Ho Chi Minh City, the quality of driver, guides, vehicles (luxury 12 seater minibus for 4 of us), hotels, lunch stop was excellent and just what we had hoped for.
While we were there Ly An kept in touch by What’s App to ensure everything was going to plan and resolve any minor niggles (there weren’t any!)
By the end, we had probably seen a couple too many Buddhist temples and pagodas, but that was fine - it was in our schedule after all.
In summary, I would highly recommend this company for a bespoke tour - they took all the worry of planning the small details out of our hands which allowed us to focus on enjoying the holiday.

I, together with 2 other friends visited Hanoi and Halong Bay for 4 full days through Blue Dragon Tours and their senior consultant Ms. Ly An. We were very happy with her service; there must had been more than 40 to-and-fro emails but she addressed our issues very promptly and patiently. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were told that one of the two rooms was under maintenance and had been downgraded. We were offered free foot massage at their spa, but we decided to ask for a discount instead. This was conveyed to Blue Dragon Tours, and Ms Ly An promptly agreed. Then, on the last day we were supposed to go to Nihn Bihn, we decided that it is a little far for a day trip (we had to leave at 8am) and after we had just returned from Halong Bay, so we requested for a change of itinerary. This was again promptly accepted. Yes we would recommend Blue Dragon Tours to anyone.

Very good your! A lot of activities on and off the boat.
The cruise ship was we’ll maintained, the beds were very comfortable.
Our waitress on board Sarita was very attentive and her service was great.
The tour guide we had for the activities on land could have explained more about the caves/places we visited as we weren’t told much about the history of each place.
Overall a very good experience would highly recommend.

During our 2-week trip to Vietnam in February 2023, my wife, and I had the assistance of Blue Dragon Tours (BDT) to arrange our fabulous vacation. When reaching out to BDT via email nearly a year in advance, Ms. Jolie promptly responded and did so throughout the entire planning. We booked a 100% private vacation through BDT from all transfers, Hanoi tours, Ha Long Bay cruise, Ninh Binh excursion, to a N. Vietnam 3-day homestay and more. I am happy to say, everything went off without one issue, zero. Ms. Jolie provided personal contact information should we have any issues. The only time we communicated was when she checked in on us. I cannot express the professionalism, follow-up and organization that was provided by Ms. Jolie and BDT. I cannot end without expressing BDT set us up with the best tour guides. Hin was our guide to the North (see Mr. Linh’s Adventure’s review) and Hai was our guide while in Hanoi. They were the best! Ok, so getting to what BDT does best – Ha Long Bay Tours. Our private cruise with L'Azalée Cruises was crazy fantastic (see L'Azalée Cruises review). Do not hesitate to have BDT organize your complete Vietnam vacation. Ms. Jolie and BDT were flawless. Thank you!

Excellent service and responsive. We booked the two day one night halong bay tour with Heritage Cruises and a half day Hanoi city tour. They charge reasonable rates and their guide Thanh was excellent.

Sorry. I cannot recommend this company to use for travel. We booked a Halong Bay cruise and the communication was great up until the day before the date of the cruise. I emailed them no response I called them via watsapp no response, I texted them no response. I emailed them on the day of the cruise and they finally responded and confirmed my pick up time at 7:30 and told me to be ready at 8:15-8:45 am. Completely unacceptable. What's worst is that there was a misunderstanding and I was under the impression that this was an all inclusive cruise including drinks. However I was mistaken. And I asked our waiter if drinks were included and he told me no. Which is fine complete misunderstanding. Do you believe that after me asking that question this company called me REPEATEDLY while I'm on the cruise ship and than began texting me that drinks were not included and sent me a screen shot of the email. Which is fine.
MY CONCERN is that they couldn't answer a simple email or call. But they are real quick to harass you and call you repeatedly when it comes to money!!!! Nope there are hundreds of other companies book with someone else.
Also, we were the last ones picked up when we disembarked. We had to wait around 30 minutes for our driver as everyone else had already left.

Ms Ly An at Vietnam Tours/Blue Dragon Tours is a treasure. She curated an exceptional tour given the limited time we had after our hike to Everest Base Camp in Nepal. She was able to make changes on short notice and kept in touch on WhatsApp so was able to inform us of flight changes or just check in as needed. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable. The drivers and transport via car was great, I can't imagine driving myself in Vietnam. The hotels were all very comfortable with friendly staff and a generous breakfast buffet each morning. We started in Saigon, went to Can Tho where we enjoyed the floating market and time on the river. I loved Danang and BaNa Hills. My one regret is not having an extra day to just enjoy the beach and ocean in Danang. Hoi An was amazing and the lit boats at night are magical. Halong Bay was beautiful. The staff on the Amanda was friendly and helpful and I had the best iced coffee yet on board. The food on board was unfortunately not as good as I experienced just about everywhere else in the country and there was water leaking from somewhere that ended up in our cabin. The cabin was otherwise clean and comfy. In Hanoi we enjoyed a fun water puppet show and I loved touring the Japanese, Chinese and Vietnamese temples. One of the highlights of this tour was seeing the beautiful temples and statues throughout the country. The food was great especially the abundance of tropical fruit. I also loved the mosaics in both Can Tho and Hanoi. I highly recommend Vietnam Tours/Blue Dragon Tours if you are planning a visit to Vietnam.

Blue Dragon Tours originally organised our Vietnam and Cambodia holiday back in early 2020, but this had to be cancelled due to COVID. However, we finally managed to get our trip in this year and had a fantastic time. Our 3 week trip included Hanoi, Halong, Trang An, Hoi An, Saigon, Mekong Delta, Siem Reap, Angkor Wat and Phenom Penh all bespoke and arranged privately for us by Blue Dragon. We had 5 internal flights and were met at the airport each time. All the arrangements went very well indeed. All the pickups were on time and all the guides were very good (the two standouts were Sopheara who showed us around Angkor Wat for 3 days and the guide in Saigon - both had excellent knowledge, clearly spoken English and gave excellent service). Throughout our 3 weeks Ly from BD Tours kept in direct contact via Whatsapp to ensure everything was going well. I would highly recommend Blue Dragon and in particular Ly who was fantastic. Thabnk you for a memorable trip to a fantastic part of the world.

I found Blue Dragon Tour via their Vietnamtours.com website. They were quick to respond via WhatsApp. Despite only having 1.5 days to arrangelllitinerary, Ly A was able to arrange our 8 day North Vietnam trip extremely quickly. From hotels, car transfers, train tickets and Ha Long bay cruise, Ly customized in detail my trip with my parents. She was able to accommodate very last minute changes such as staying in Ninh Binh for an extra night night and rearranging our transportation to Ha Long Bay for us. The drivers and vendors chosen by Ly were wonderful throughout the trip!

Just want to check it is standard procedure to pay a deposit on card and then the rest of the money for the trip collected the day before pick up from your hotel?
Please can you advise as I’ve booked through Blue Dragon Tours with the email address info at halongbaytours com
This maybe perfectly normal and there is no problem with it at all but I just wanted to check?

Thank you for your question! Normally for all our tours we just collect a deposit upon confirmation - this is to guarantee that you would be travelling and in any case of cancellation the transaction fee will be lessened during process of refund. The balance can be paid by cash or credit card closer to your trip date.
We believe that this works in your best interest however in case you wish to pay all upfront it's totally fine for us as well!

If you are not going for any adventure walk or cycling, then there is no necessary long walk or climbing.
At the start also, your car will drop exactly at the boating place. So no need for any long walk. We went with our 5 months pregnant wife, so no worries.

Thank you very much for your question. As we offer over 45 cruises of different budgets: luxury, mid-range and budget, it would be helpful if we can know your preference for the trip. We also offer many hotel + cruise combos which help travellers plan and book the trip with ease as well. The period between May and June is a perfect time to visit Halong Bay as the weather is not yet too hot and there are many cruise deals as well.
As for the bad weather, the decision to cancel the cruise trip is solely made by the Management board of Halong Bay, in such case we will offer full refund if the trip is yet to take place, and partial refund if the trip if half way (you will be charged for used services only).

I have booked halong bay cruise 1 night for New Year’s Eve and blue dragon tour just requested me to pay full amount online after our initial agreement was to pay this in person to the staff on the day of the tour. We don’t feel comfortable with this situation as we have no guarantee from their side. Has anyone experienced the same situation?

Thank you for your question. You can always request to pay when you arrive in Hanoi. As it is now peak season travel, we send out noticing email to clients who travel date fall between 25th and 31st December as there have been guests' requests to pay in advance via credit card. If you prefer to pay on arrival, we can surely accommodate your preference!

eVisa(started 2017) and Visa on Arrival are available. eVisa from Vietnam Gov site looks to be more guaranteed. Anyone that book tour from this company got the Visa approval letter and visited Vietnam trouble free from immigration or airline? Thanks.

Hi we have booked a cruise through blue dragon tour to Halong bay. They are asking to meet me at my hotel the day before the cruise to get the rest of the money owed after paying the 30% deposit. Was thinking we would be paying when on the shuttle to Halong bay from Hanoi. Has anyone else been asked this? And if so did it work out alright?

We have been trying to organise the free walking tour of hanoi as offered by your tour group when we purchased the pelican cruise tickets.
