located about 7km east of old quarters, we paid about 110K VND to take a taxi to this megamall. 3 levels of shopping and 1 level of food. There is also a hypermart here (Big C) where you can buy almost everything. we spent 6 hours shopping, lunch and cafe. you can buy a lot of clothing, shoes and accessories here. best of all the aircon is strong here and you won't feel hot. most things have price stated and no bargaining is needed. the prices are also comparable to old quarters. mostly visited by locals so no worries to be ripped off.

A VND100,000 taxi from Hoan Kim Lake to this large shopping mall.
Pleasantly surprised by the good value here on offer.
We thought the huge Made in Vietnam clothing range was fantastic for the men's clothing on the day we visited. Cheap prices for big name labels (probably end of lines or seconds?)
Big C is downstairs.
Good for spending a hot afternoon in the A/C browsing mid-priced shops
Had a cheap but delicious dinner at the Thai place in upstairs food court.

My family used to visit this mall but I personally found it quite stuffy and noisy. They now even built a cine complex at one part of the parking. They should have less shops and more space for visitors/shoppers.

Savico Megamall is located near the Hanoi oldquarters so I can get there easily by taxi. The streets are also not crowded as in the oldquarters, so no traffic jam here. The shopping mall is very beautiful with large areas of playground for children and parking area is so big. More importantly, all parking here is free. There is a hypermarket (BigC) where you can buy anything. There are also Pizza Hut, Sumo BB on 3rd floor and food is so delicious!!!

We stayed at this hotel during our 5 days visit to Hanoi. The hotel is located in the Old Quarter, which offers lots of interesting things to see and do. Hanoi Hotel Graceful is value for money, it is located in the centre of the old quarter, the staff is really excellent, friendly and very helpful and courteous.I would like to share my experience
with this hotel so that others who are contemplating to visit Hanoi can consider this hotel. The Hotel also have a tour desk which renders a wide selection of trips that one can consider...

As far as Hanoi malls go, this is a cheaper one. Its crowning glory is the Made in Vietnam store, which is much larger than any youll find in or near Hoan Kiem or Tay Ho, and full of brands like Abercrombie, North Face, Hollister, UnderArmour, Levi's, Ralph Lauren, etc.
There is also a big Tran Anh electronics stall where people speak reasonable english and a Big C downstairs.
Its a Vietnamese mall - dont come expecting a Harvey Nicks style experience and youll find a bargain!

Brought my 3 kids age 4,7 & 9 to the indoor gym on a fri. There was no other kids around so my kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves running amok in the play gym. Went to this store that sells Made In Vietnam clothings. Good buys if you are into Zara, Mango etc.
Would recommend for family with young kids else you may not find it worthwhile to take a 15min cab ride from the Old Quarter to Savico mall

There is nothing to buy for a westerner.. all the clothes are expensive and not that good looking. This is a place for upper class locals. Decent food court with good local food upstairs.

As the title goes, Savico Mall isn't the place where you could have fun other than for shopping. Quite far from Old Quarter as well.

Came here with my boyfriend after reading it was in the top 5 malls. All the stores sell dated clothes and there are no branded stores, just local outlets. We were the only ones shopping and ended up leaving empty handed within 30 minutes. Grab driver also scammed us on the way and dropped us at the wrong mall so be careful with that.

Hi, I am travelling from Hanoi old quarter and am looking for a mall with a large hyper/supermarket with cheap prices and retail outlets. Which shopping mall would best fit this - Vincom megamall, Savico megamall or BigC supermarket?
Is the supermarket at Vincom megamall or Savico megamall bigger?
Appreciate your help! thanks.
