Vietnamese version of the german "Kasperle Theater" :). Highly recommended. Overall 50 minutes. Some parts in local language, but (in my opinion) it's not a real plot, but show, so no need to follow...

The Water Puppet Show wasn't my cup of tea. You need to appreciate Vietnamese music and singing as well understand the traditional story to enjoy the show.

It lasts an hour and tells folk tales in a totally unique way. The theatre is fun in itself as a throwback to the French era. The skill of the puppeteers is amazing and the musical accompaniment very authentic. A must do if having a...More

Do yourself a favour and just go to see this. I know others who thought it might be a dud so they avoided it, but it was really really good!!

Didn't expect to enjoy as much as I did. The show is accompanied by traditional musical instruments and singing. The puppetry is colorful and unique and well performed. Deals with local culture and traditions through some 12 different short acts. Certainly worth the entrance fee.

Not something I would have chosen myself, but glad the tour included this 1 hour show. Very hard to take photos and clever the way they can manipulate the puppets in the water. Music and singing great and the vocals were good. Just sit back...More

It is impressive what they do with the water puppets but the chairs are too small and the story is for children. Many of us almost felt asleep

Hi, yes that's true, though it didn't seem to stop most of the audience. I think if you elect to pay the small fee (50,000vnd for still, more for video) you get preferential seating on front row.
