Really interesting to see the puppets moving through the water, looks really magical! The band is fantastic and the traditional music is a highlight. There is a fair amount of untranslated Vietnamese dialogue which slows down the flow of the show (unless you understand Vietnamese) and some songs go a little too long. However, at the low price of entry... More

OK so it's not amazing but it's a great experience for an hour or so for 100,000 VD. Get a bit of culture in you. The flame spitting dragons are worth the entrance fee alone.

We bought tickets to see the water puppets not really knowing what to expect, but all the tour books said to do it. I am very glad we listened because the show was very beautiful. Unlike any type of show I have seen before, it was entertaining and a good insight to the local culture. A good place to take... More

I attended the show together with a large group, we had booked the whole theatre so I can't comment on the booking process but I managed to get a front row seat that meant I got to see the puppets at close quarters. The show we saw comprised 14? cameos each with a different story - all accompanied by live... More

If you don't know anything about this part of Vietnamese culture, it will be both interesting and confusing. The skill of the artists here are wonderfully displayed musically and dramatically. Though, I have no idea what they said or sang about because I don't speak Vietnamese. Worth it if you're open minded and enjoy the arts. I loved it but... More

Didn't start well but eventually we stated to enjoy it. It was amazing to see how they work so hard to make this happen. I don't want to add any spoilers but even if you're not a theater kind of person, you should give this one a go. Make sure you book in advance because these tickets get sold themselves.

The skill and craftsmanship is incredibe and you cannot ask for more when you're witnessing the traditional Vietnamese folk art at its absolute best. The segments are short and sweet and beautiful. You do not need to know the language to enjoy the plots, they are quite simple and joyful. The musicians and vocalists are amazing, and the experience is... More

It's a very different kind of puppet show. Live music adds to the entire experience. Better to book seats before hand as the get filled very fast. It's a 50min show, which is completely in Vietnamese. Even though you don't follow a word, the show is very entertaining. One of the top attractions in Vietnam!
