We had a walk around after visiting the pagoda. There is a nice breeze off the water and a favourite resting place for many of the locals. It’s a bit dirty at the waters edge but where isn’t nowadays. Enjoy.....

Stayed in a King Bed Overwater Panoramic View which offers stunning an unrestricted views of the West Lake. The lounge access sorts your evening drinks in a comfy lounge so do avail of that. Staff is extremely friendly. The hotel is far from the old...More

We walked around the lake and stopped over at the Pagoda next to the lake. Took some good pictures. There are many lakes in Hanoi, and West Lake is one of the bigger ones.

West Lake is a large lake just outside the city. It is possible to walk all around the lake, the distance being I believe 17 kilometers. The problem with this, as everywhere in Hanoi, is that the pavements are crammed with motor bikes and 4...More

Beautiful day to see the lake. Today the weather was perfect, skies were blue, and I got to see a portion of the southern part of the lake. This lake is the largest fresh water lake in Hanoi so you don't just walk around it....More

Probably it is a transport challange to have several lakes - like Hanoi has. West like is largest and it's used for sports and fishing. Either if you would like not to visit it, you will have to find a way around.
