Vietnam Museum of Ethnology is a unit under Vietnam Academy of Scocial Sciences. Vietnam Museum of Ethnology is both a research centre and a public museum exhibiting the ethnic groups of Vietnam. The mission of the Museum is scientific research, collection, documentation, conservation, exhibition and preserving the cultural and historic patrimony of the nation's different ethnic groups. The museum also serves to guide research, conservation, and technology that are specific to the work of an ethnographic museum.

It's a huge place for getting know Vietnamese culture. There, we can see a lot of great monuments. Take a little bit of time, we will able to understand the difference between those ethnics!!!

Big and plenty of information about ethnic groups in Vietnam. They have a lot of house from different place of the country. And sometimes, you can watch the water puppets so for free in the museum. Nice place to visit.

The exhibits are interesting and there are explanations in English. The best part for us were all the houses outside. These were examples of different types of houses from around Vietnam that you could go into and explore. My children really enjoyed these.

Great insight to the large number of ethnic minorities and tribes in Vietnam. Size of the museum is just right, displays are well set out.

Inside the building was hot and humid. There were many artifices of ancient Vietnamese life. A few dioramas. Outside were cafes and restaurants.
