The area surrounding the lake is relaxing and peaceful. Many people could be seen jogging around the lake. However, the area surrounding the lake is dirty and unkempt. Some of the benches were broken and the grass unswept. The lake itself is filthy thus compromising...More

There are many nice photo settings that produce great souvenir pics. The highlight was meeting others just strolling or maybe taking their very own pics, or perhaps taking kids for walks or even photos. A great experience

We stayed in the old town and visited this lake last Sep. It is very nice to wonder around the lake. We also went to Hanoi on the weekend and all closed for walking street. Really good

On the weekend, there are programs of different companies which are interesting. You can join without extra cost. Besides, there are a lot of free music performance from students as well as local people. Should try.

We were lucky to be staying very near the lake. We were also very lucky to be there on Friday and Saturday when they close the streets to traffic after 7pm. It would appear that most of the people of Hanoi then pour into this...More

Walked around a couple of times during our stay. Plenty of coffee shops available. Lots of people just people watching some chilling some exercising. Only negative was there was a lot of rubbish actually in the lake .

the locals get up pretty early to do their exercises. If you go there around 4 a.m/5am. you will already see people running and old ladies exercising
