Though not quite the same since a devastating fire in 1994, this famous market is nevertheless a landmark trading post.

Locals and tourists alike, they go to this market to buy souvenirs, food items, apparels and more! The more you buy the more discount you'll have. Don't forget to haggle, start with 50%, hehehehe.

A typical and very crowded market in Hanoi. You can get here some food or clothes and other stuff if you like bargaining.

These markets are not a place to leisurely stroll through. It’s cramped, untidy with too many shopkeepers offering the same stuff. If you aren’t dodging locals coming at you carrying oversized bags of stuff, they are pushing past you with them, often aggressively. Most showed...More

Every corner and every street around Đồng Cuan Market are picture perfect for photographing Hanoi and Vietnamese in their daily lifestyle. In my opinion, new enterprises with westernise culture and concept should not be given permits to operate here.

This is a large wholesale market so you can buy everything here. Dry goods and souvenir items are found at the entrance and market (wet) items can be found at the back. If you are not very particular about their clothing style, you can always...More

Big indoor market in the old quarter - nothing spectacular. A variety of different stores ranging from fake watches, kitchen magnets to clothes, shoes and jewelry.

Like everything else 'on sale', Caveat Emptor. (let the buyer beware) Be aware. Made in Vietnam is (often) much higher quality (and still low priced) Connect the dots
