We sailed on the Valentine which caters for a maximum of 8 persons . We opted for safety and limited numbers over price. It was a whopping £400 for one night , leaving the bay around 12.30 and dropping us back the next day around 10.30. The bay itself is beautiful . The boat is magnificent; the food awesome and... We spent a night sailing around Halong Bay on the Indochina Sails Junk boat. It was absolutely fantastic and well worth doing. We wish we had done 2 nights. Everything is well organised. Staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. They make you feel very relaxed and welcome. We thought it was excellent because they don't have more... More

We spent 24 hours on board as part of our two week trip to Vietnam. Starting in Hanoi, which is about 3.5 hours drive away, we boarded just after lunch. Afternoon spent cruising Halong Bay, lunch on board then stopped off at a fishing village where locals row you around the bay. Pre dinner drinks on board the ship, followed... More

My family spent two wonderful two days in Halong Bay on a boat called Indochina Sails. We booked through the agency Asia 365 and they told us that a very special trip on a Junk in Halong Bay would be one of the highlights. We were not dissapointed! All four of us loved the astonishing landscape, the impressive wooden junk... More

From the very start this cruise was bound to be great. We arrived at the terminal rather grumpy having spent 4 hours travelling on our own in the back of a minibus instead of a car. However Hiu the tour guide made us feel welcome with a cup of tea and then sorted out the transport problem with our tour... More

The weather was not the best but it added an eerie quality to the spectacular natural wonder that is Ha Long Bay. We were on our honeymoon and we spent one night aboard the Valentine with 7 other guests (one couple, who by the sounds of it had been on a few of these cruises remarked that the Valentine was... Although the weather was not perfect when we had a two night/3 day sail on Halong Bay, we enjoyed it immensely. The boat was beautiful, very clean and large cabins, with a huge bathroom which also had a large spa bath. Because of the weather we were offered a refund for one night and hotel in Hanoi if we wanted... More
