We went as a group of 3 from the Philippines to try the cooking class. Hana welcomed us and explained everything thoroughly! From the shopping in the market, the ingredients we use, to the cooking method. It was all very clear and we had a great time! As we were the only group that day, Hana was able to sit down with us and told us where to go, what to eat, the local drinks, where to shop—everything! Truly a splendid time with a professional guide and friend. Thank you, Hana!

I did the half day cooking class with Hana and it was a brilliant experience! I did it as a solo traveller and joined 3 people to make a group of 4! We chose 3 dishes to cook and with that we headed to the local market to buy all the raw ingredients. Hana showed us round the local market and explained many of the local delicacies/traditions for buying ingredients. Back at the restaurant we prepared all the ingredients to make each meal and went through cooking them step by step. After all the cooking we ate together with a drink of choice. Also at the end of the food, we learnt how to make Vietnamese egg coffee. Hana was a great host and a credit to the restaurant. A few days later I visited the restaurant with my friends to sample their food and to be honest it was some of the best I had tried in Vietnam.

We spent a wonderful time during this cooking class with Hana. We started to choose the dishes we wanted to prepare, then went to the local market in order to buy fresh ingredients before to cook according to Hana's instructions and advices. After we could eat all this tasty food with a free drink. To finish, we could also have a coconut coffee and egg coffee. All the recipes were then shared to reproduce them at home! We spent a great moment and we highly recommend!

The experience was very amazing ! It was my first cooking class (and not my last) and Jenny was so helpful ! The choice of 3 dishes, the purchases at the local market and the preparation was great! Our cooking instructor Jenny made the class so interesting and so much fun! We went all over the market in Hanoi shopping for the ingredients needed to prepare the meals that we chose! Jenny was very knowledgeable about all the different markets, products and herbs used for cooking! It was a very interactive hands on fun and educational class! It definitely was one of our highlights for Hanoi! You don’t want to miss this one!!

I would really recommend this cooking class. Daisy took me to the local markets where we picked up some fresh fish and shrimps and came back to the restaurant to cook with the chef. It was an amazing experience. Daisy was so helpful and fun to spend time with. The food was delicious.

A truly great experience at Hoang's cooking class! I can honestly say I have learnt a lot. First of all, Kitty took me to the local market for all the fresh ingredients. Then I chose 3 dishes and learned to make them alongside a highly skilled chef. At the end of the experience, I could enjoy the hospitality of Hoang restaurant and the delicious dishes we made put me into a food coma. Thank you for this adventure, and thanks to the lovely Kitty for her guidance throughout the day!

The cooking class was really great. We first went to the market to buy food and we got a lot of explanations on Vietnamese food culture. Then we cooked for a few hours. Kitty explained to us all the different steps one at the time and was really patient with our cooking skills. Afterward we got to eat the food cooked with Vietnamese coffee. Everything was really delicious. The staff in general was really kind.
