Words can’t even describe how awful this place is… I hope they shut this down ASAP! ALL animals are kept in poor health and condition, I pray for them and let the photos speak for themselves.

I couldn’t take many photos because I was so upset.

Absolutely disgraceful, monkeys bring fed biscuits and crisps by tourists, they look really ill, litter all over there floors, monkeys chewing on rusty nails.
Elephants chained tight and swaying with the stress.
Filthy zoo with no care for the animals.

Went to the zoo because we had time to kill and was searching for places to go. The zoo was in an open park and it was also an amusement park for kids which was quite confusing. The animals were all skinny and had skin diseases. the only animals that looked better taken cared of were the zebra and the deers. Read the comments on trip advisor about an elephant being chained up in 2013 and we saw one earlier today. I hope that this is not the same elephant. It was heartbreaking to watch the elephant try to get the chains off its feet. Saw a local try to feed chewing gum to the monkeys. And one of the locals used a plastic balloon to poke the monkey. Extremely sad to watch.

I saw the zoo -- or what I thought was a huge park -- from the 65th floor of the Lotte Centre's Sky Walk. A short 5 mins walk later, I found myself outside what looked like a kid's carnival of sorts. The sun was out and the views looked good so I paid the ticket and in I went.

It was a Friday afternoon and there weren't many people. It didn't take very long to realize that it was a zoo. The animals did not look particularly well taken care of and I didn't really notice any staff apart from those manning the few stalls that were open and selling products. The toilet situation was also surprising and in a bad way -- for the guys, 3 of the 4 urinals did not have a pipe attached underneath so you are highly likely to splash pee on your own shoes if you weren't paying attention.

No matter how nice the day was for photo taking, admittedly I left this place feeling heavy-hearted and not just a little disappointed.

The park itself is very pleasant with nice walks around the lake, although when I visited one couldn't walk all the way around due to road works. The zoo part of the park is very visable, with cages dotted around everywhere. It wasn't quite as terrible as I'd anticipated from previous comments but I don't agree with zoos anyway so I would never be happy with it. The elephants weren't chained as some people have stated but they don't have a lot of space and looked thoroughly bored. The zoo has 6 tigers, who looked in good condition, but were just pacing their enclosures. In my opinion wild animals belong in the wild and should not be removed from that environment. I didn't pay any entry fee, having entered from opposite the Australian Embassy.

At first we thought it was an amusement park, so we went to see it because it was very cheap. We walk in and realised we have walked into the worst zoo ever. A very sad place with very sick animals, who show a lot of signs of stress. Made me cry and I never want to see anything like this again. This place should be shut down immediatly. The animals are in too small cages in a very hectic environment with amusement park in the same area. Why would you ever do this to animals or any creatures??

Extremely bad animal welfare through out. All animals were showing signs of behaviour problems. The enclosures were unsuitable for the species needs and most of them had litter thrown in. All the primate enclosures were small and overcrowded, more attention seems to be given for the horticulture than the animals which is a huge shame. There was also a high infestation of rats present throughout all enclosures. It looked like the rabbits in the petting area had health issues and it looked as if they may have had their front teeth removed.

I never visit zoo's on purpose and this time I thought I was going to a big park with my child until after I paid the ticket and realized it is actually a zoo... Horrible mistake.

The animals have very little space and their cages are filthy. The elephants have chains in their ankles and the tigers and lions looked extremely stressed. The hippoes have only a little puddle to swim in, which is unacceptable for those huge animals. All the monkeys were also visibly stressed, had very little room and vegetation and also some of them looked really sick and even had open wounds. One tiny monkey (juvenile) was literally eating plastic; they seemed very hungry and people were feeding them junk food (!!). The crocodiles barely have space at all and couple of them looked dead, I am seriously not sure if they were even alive.

These were only few examples that made me disgusted and even cry in the middle of the park. You couldn't see any staff anywhere, no cafe's or restaurants and the 2 two toilets I found in the area were beyond disgusting, we could barely use them because of the urin and poop everywhere (and I am used to all sorts, living in SE-Asia myself).

If you have any feelings or knowledge towards animals and their wellbeing, do not go there. I would never recommed this place to anyone.

We had a lovely time at this zoo and park. As it is nearly TET, the local new year celebration, the Zoo was very quiet and not many visitors that day. This was perfect as it was the first visit to a Zoo for our baby daughter. We could park close to the entrance and we even bought her a Minnie mouse balloon (also her first balloon) just outside the entrance. She loves watcihing the elephants and the giraffes. She was fascinated by the Tigers and the monkeys. Such a special day for us. The zoo is a lovely place to spend a couple of hours walking around and with a lovely lake and some beautiful flowers it is a recommendation from us.
